5 time European Champions vs Pulis's English Catenaccio

Post by Nishankly on Tue Oct 18, 2016 4:12 pm

We face our arch nemesis Tony with the system he implements on Saturday.

Team news:

1. Wiji is a doubt.
2. Nobody is injured, Gomez back in light training.

Expected line up:

Karius
Clyne Matip Lovren Milner
Can Henderson Lallana
Mane Firmino Coutinho

Since its at Anfield, He might play Sturridge again. But West Brom has Pulis and since Mourinho excelled at defending for 90 minutes, Pulis will 10000000% do the same. Expect another torrid 90 minutes.

Hope we win

I have a feeling they'll score. They've scored in all but two games so far. Chadli and Phillips have added a lot to their attack and Rondon is a decent center-forward. We need to find two goals at least to win, imo.

No Sad

I have WBA keeper and defender both - I fear for my safety this weekend.

Exactly the kind of opponent Liverpool is bound to struggle against. Klopp doesn't need to worry though they have warmed for such matches by playing Man utd. Liverpool need to play with same approach as they did in second half. would go with same lineup as Nishank. No sturridge, yes party!

It would be really nice to win this game.

Clyne - Matip - Lovren - Milner
Henderson
Lallana - Wijnaldum
Mané - Firmino - Coutinho

This is our best line-up with everyone healthy. Things sound positive for Gini and Lallana so hopefully we can continue with this. Would like to see Origi and Grujic get some minutes too.

If Lallana and Gini are back, I'll be more confident.

We are obviously not going to win this one, are we !League games against United have dampened our progress in the past. And one more reason is, WestBrom played a tidy Pulis game against Spurs and Spurs had to come from behind to get a point. We and Spurs play similar style so but natural that we will struggle.

A must start for Can. The guy needs to show that he can be a real option for us in the next season or in this season when one of the MF is injured.

I think Can is going to drop back to the bench, The decision is about Sturridge, Whether he will start or not. If he does then who will be sacrificed.

Sturridge needs to get his shit together and shit some goals. I have seriously no idea why he is struggling to do even usual sprints that he used to do before.

We conceded from a set-piece, what a surprise Rolling Eyes

Otherwise a good game, should have taken one more of our chances to make it more comfortable, but three points, oh yeah.

Mané or Coutinho motm.

Good win, It was closer than it should have been. Firmino had an off day.

Conceded from a set piece which was obvious but we managed to hold on which was the most important, 3 points.

Coutinho

Good win and a great performance for 80 minutes.

*bleep* hell we always do this to ourselves.

Should have scored one of the million chances to put the game away way before.

Anyways 3 points is all that matters

Phil MOTM

Matip is sooooo effing good. The set pieces we concede like idiots are so effing annoying but our defending during open play is fantastic since Joel's come in.
