@Don't call me James wrote:That's a blatant foul as were the 5 other time he was wrestled down in the penalty area that weren't called.

The dude trips him. How is that not a foul Laughing

Watching it again I realized it doesn't matter if it's a foul or not. He got beat and the other Inter player was getting to the end line before him anyway.

Awful defending

Liverpool playing good thats why.

Season they finished 2nd he said Rodgers is a better coach than Sir Alex.

rofl Doesn't fall far from the classic obnoxious American person stereotype.

Similar to Matip tbh.

6'4. Amazing in the air. Great on the ball. Has fantastic technical quality. And is very intelligent defender. Strong as a bull.

To 2 CB in the PL with Matip.

He has an incredible shot as well. Has scored like 10+ free kicks for Celtic before moving to Southampton.

How good was he yesterday? Real Solid game vs Liverpool IMO.

I have been seeing Matip for years from Schalke, glad he is gone from Schalke, technically average, too slow, tactically average, etc - Don't take seriously to the Matip comparison - That is Liverpool fans being clueless & hyping their own players.

Matip is the best CB in the league.

As far as Van Dijk he was amazing yesterday as well. The two MOTM for their respective teams were Matip and Van Dijk.

I trust my whoscored rating and thus Matip isn't even a top 10 cb in the PL (:

Although he is definitely a good CB, have you guys considered the "I look better than I am" effect on CB who play quite protected and in a low line, and when they go to a TOP team they get exposed?

Van Dijk looks definitely one of these, he is rather slow.

I am impressed him by really. But I can only say that he has the potential to become a WC defender but not proven in top team yet.

Slow? Laughing

Caught up to Mane, one of the quickest players in the world, to make a goal saving tackle.

Last thing he is is slow.

I have some bad news for you. Liverpool have 0 interest in signing vvd. reports from Liverpool saying Liverpool are not signing any CB.

Not sure how legit but he has a £25m buy out clause apparently

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/virgil-van-dijks-35m-buy-9385313

But if he doesn't, then considering it's Jan and he is the hottest property in the PL, I would say 50m. Because Man City wants a CB and they will offer them that

I would snap him up at 25mil. but 50mil is way to much. I would like us to do some kind of swap deal with sakho

Well City might also pay the same 25m clause if Pep really wants him. So no, will not be easy.

In today's ridiculous inflated market Van Dijk is definitely worth 40-50M considering the prices people like Mustafi, Stones, Mangala, Baily, Otamendi have gone for.

25M is incredibly cheap. This will cause a bidding war between Pool, City, United & maybe even Chelsea or Spurs will try to jump in!

Don't think Spurs will. VVD coming in would mean one of Vertonghen or Alderweireld would have to lose their spot because VVD won't play back up. Making any one of those players a back up will cause them to leave. Spurs don't really gain anything by this unless they plan on getting rid of Vertonghen and replacing him with VVD, which I'd personally be OK with. Vertonghen isn't bad though, this isn't a necessity for Spurs, who have other places they need to address first.

LMao so 3 weeks ago no one would believe me that Van Dijk is world class and now everybody is talking about 40m+ like it's normal rofl

People need to start admitting that I've been right on almost 90% of what I say as controversial you may think it is.

2016 will be remembered in the history books as the year in which Trump became president and Hames was right about everything.

Both catastrophic breaches to the texture of reality.

James is delusional & doesn't know anything.

For one, I have been following Van Dijk since Groningen, more than 5 years now. He is a Dutch player & played in the Eredivisie! Matip since Schalke days.

This guys only makes wild guesses about Pool players or players linked to Pool & sometimes gets it right! No need to give importance to trolls!
