Manchester United Vs Arsenal

Post by RealGunner on Fri Nov 18, 2016 12:28 am

Manchester United Vs Arsenal
Saturday 19th November
12:30PM BST
Old Trafford

I have 0 expectations from this match. I am not feeling it at all. At this point I just wanted it to be over with so we can look forward to PSG at home. I want to be positive about this match but then I was positive for every match we played at OT between 2006-2012. After that I gave up. And last season when it was arguably the worst United team we have ever faced and we lost. I really don't see how anyone can be optimistic this weekend. Facing Mourinho who Arsene has never beaten in the league. Going to OT where we haven't won since 2006. Put it this way. Alex Iwobi was 10 years old the last time we won a league game at Old Trafford

This is an automatic defeat. Worst fixture of the season without a doubt.

United were in a bad period but they have recovered as expected. Expecting Mourinho to use the same tactics as he has used 10 times before.

Injury concerns for both sides but I am not sure who is missing for United. Bellerin is definitely out so Jenkinson will play. Cazorla is out too.

Interesting to see if we start Ramsey-Xhaka or Xhaka-Coquelin.

I actually think we should play to our creative best. I'd go with this team

-------------------------Cech--------------------------------
Jenkinson--------Mustafi-----Koscielny-----------Monreal
-------------Xhaka-----------Ramsey---------------------
Walcott----------------Ozil----------------------Iwobi
---------------------Sanchez----------------------------

Thankfully it's an early game so at least we can move on fast.

this is one of those games that we as fans should jus not expect anything. a complete write off. winning is a bonus. i think a draw is good. the odds are against us...Mourinho + United vs Wenger. there are a lot of games where utd had a weaker side but still managed to beat us. we need a complete change of mentality to win this

Is Danny Welbeck available? The sonofagun always scores at OT for you guys.

Injury
Bailly, Smalling, Valencia, Shaw (not sure 100%), Rooney(not sure 100%), Martial (Again, not sure, But if rooney too is unavailable, Martial should/will play I guess)

Suspension

Yesterday in Arsene's presser the media begged him to talk about Mourinho but he refused to say a single word about him.

Today, Mourinho couldn't wait to start talking about Arsene Laughing

Jose Mourinho: "I think Mr. Wenger has respect from others. I don’t think I have. My last league title was 18 months ago, not 18 years ago.”

Absolute *bleep* of a human being. Never seen someone so obsessed in my life. He has serious mental issues. He is wondering why no one respects him, and then ends up having a dig at another manager Laughing

Tbf he's lashing out more at the press than Wenger himself. He just used Wenger as an example of perceived differences in treatment.

All the same, it'll be nice if Wenger finally gets one over him in the league. Mourinho's methods are as outdated as Wenger's are, so it'd be really depressing if we still end up losing to them.

This.
Had you watched the full presser, picture would have become clearer. He went on a rant aimed at the media when they asked about Smalling and Shaw after this question. Its clear the man is pissed at the press for constantly criticizing him of late. And the reporters as usual were cnutish during the entire presser. They even asked whether he was happy at United!! Sad Mad Douchebags.
Anyway he did speak positively of Wenger (has he ever done that before?). He said something like Mr.Wenga and himself were the 2 of the most successful managers in England or something. So theres that.

Surely it's the other way around, Ramsey on the left and Walcott on the right? That seems more natural.

Think it's Ramsey on the right to protect Jenkinson but offensively I can't see how this is going to go work. We will have nothing going forward from that right hand side. The big surprise is Xhaka not starting, Arsene's probably going to play on the counter attack and he doesn't trust Xhaka defensively.

El Nenny should have seen that earlier, poor position to give away a free kick

Coquelin has been a best so far, lost count of the amount of time Ramsey has lost it or made some poor decision. Iwobi should be warming up now, Ozil and Sanchez are doing 90 percent of the work in attack while Ramsey and Theo aren't offering much. Yanited are there for the taking but we are not taking advantage.

Wenger sitting there like a total idiot been getting dominated and hasn't even made a single change this half. Xhaka, Iwobi and Giroud wondering why they are on the bench being some of our best preforming players this season, don't think Ramsey has done anything offers no pace just makes us play more narrow, no movement at all in the final third.

Typical performance for Wenger vs Man United they have been using the same tactic since SAF was manager and we still losing the same way rofl rofl
