FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid

Post by halamadrid2 on Wed Nov 23, 2016 5:22 pm

So our Club just confirmed that Bale will be out for the next 2 weeks at least......just great Rolling Eyes

Other team news:

-Marcelo had a small knock vs Sporting so will likely be rested for this game
-Casemiro rejoined the group banana

If it were up to me I would rotate the whole team bar Ramos and Ronaldo. Sporting are in the relegation zone and lost 3-1 at home to LaReal last weekend. No need to risk MORE starters getting injured.

Probable line up:

Navas
Danilo-Nacho-Ramos-Coentrao
Modric-Kovacic-Isco
Lucas-Benz-Ronaldo

Want a clean sheet unless somebody else decides to give away a penalty this time

Is it time, we had the deb ate again about injuries? Is it the fault of coach, players, doctors, trainer?

It sure looks like Bale is another Robben!

Sporting has been quite poor this season so we really should not have any real difficulty to in beating them.

Doubt we keeping a clean sheet though.

Tbf we nearly did against Sporting yesterday. It took a freak penalty for them to score against us. Defensively we definitely improved not sure how it'll look with a 433 without Casemiro

It's definitely our medical team. No way our players wouid get this injured under a different medical team. Now ZZ just confirned that Coentrao is out too. No worries lets just play Marcelo who received a knock against Sporting Laughing

Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Casilla and Yanez.
Defenses: Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Nacho, Marcelo and Danilo.
Midfielders: James, Casemiro, Kovacic, Modric, Asensio and Isco.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Lucas Vázquez and Mariano.

If I were ZZ i would play:

Navas
Danilo-Pepe-Ramos-Nacho
James-Kovacic-Isco
Lucas-Benz-Ronaldo

Then bring on Casemiro for Kovacic, Marcelo for Pepe and Asensio for whoever. There is no reason to play Marcelo or Modric. They can get some mins in the Copa game

Oh yeah, Danilo is still a member of this team. Forgot about him actually. So we are definitely not keeping a clean sheet.

no matter what medical team one brings, it won't save guys like bale coentrao marcelo pepe james et al from getting their regular dose of injuries. imo some of these guys need Jesus, not another new medical staff yet again.

I remember Pepe earlier in his career. He used to get injured every other game. He has definitely improved. He doesn't get injured very often. Even Marcelo, he can get his injuries sometimes but he rarely misses 3 games in a row. Bale, Coentrao and Benz are the only players who get injured constantly imo

I mean this season you have guys like Casemiro, Kroos and Ramos getting injured long term. These guys never get injured but did this season. Kroos' was only picked up by the German NT doctors. I think that sums up our medical team quiet nicely

I think both of you are right. None of us are completely satisfied with our medical team, and I think we wouldn't suffer this many injuries if we had competent doctors.

But on the other hand, we got to admit that we have many players who, aside from being injury-prone, don't look after themselves and don't behave the way a professional athlete should.

Take a guy like Benzema for instance, he spent the whole summer resting and yet he showed up injured. He should've been in perfect shape with the amount of rest he got.

And then you have Coentrao, a guy who needs a new adjective to be invented specifically for his condition because "injury-prone" has become an understatement at this point.

Then you have players like Ronaldo who look after their bodies, train constantly and eat healthy, and as a result, rarely ever get injured.

I hate our medical team as much as the next guy, but this unprecedented injury plague is not entirely their fault. Our players are also partly to blame here. They should look after themselves and start acting like professional athletes.

Some of them though are too old to change, which is why I believe guys like Benzema and Coentrao are a lost cause. Let's just hope our younger guys are more inclined to follow Ronaldo's example than Benzema's.

That won't be a problem me thinks. Sporting are terrible. Also it's not like we have a choice with the ever reliable Coentrao taking a small vacation when we really really needed him to contribute a tiny bit Rolling Eyes

Opening 3 minutes:
Danilo makes a God awful back pass that a Sporting player should have done better with
We let a ball go through where another Sporting player did nonsense with.

We are so not keeping a clean sheet Sad Maybe

Also, 1-0 to Ronaldo within 5 minutes.

Maybe James is just a stupid player, i dont understand how someone can move so poorly and allow so much space defending his side. Maybe that's why he is given freedom in colombia and plays with 2 DMs, he is just positionally retarded, an idiot in cleats

Well, that was a silly first half. Even Modric's passing is a bit erratic since it was bad pass the led to Sporting's only goal so far.

Danilo is doing Danilo things which is essentially nothing. Pepe and Ramos are trying but you can see they are both lacking that match fitness needed. Benzema may as well just go in the stands and shelter from the rain before he catches a cold. James is, well, what Nick wrote.

Other than that, a normal, error filled Madrid first half. Expect us to score 2-3 more before we start playing in the rain again.

2-1 not too bad considering we are playing with 10 players. Lucas, Ronaldo and Nacho have been excellent the rest need to step up. Second terrible game in a row for Modric

Nick, who could he play in his place? There aren't alternatives and this is after all a relegation team!

And to handycap game, we are playing with 10 players. I know Benz is on field but other than one touch, he virtually is standing still on field!
