Feel like Elneny could offer more than Coquelin in such games, especially when partnered by Xhaka.

When's the last time we saved a penalty, btw? I love Cech but I have zero confidence in him saving pens.

Cech has faced 12 penalties since 2011 and saved none.

His record for Chelsea was just as bad.

Lee Mason Laughing

We need to kill this off now, one goal difference isn't much especially with the players Stoke have in attack.

Stoke are getting closer, Bellerin looking a bit shaky defensively.

Comfortable in the end. Stoke posed a threat but once we got ahead I wasn't that worried. Lee Mason was their most dangerous player.

I feel for Lucas. Scores a hat-trick in mid-week, doesn't get a start, now he couldn't even get a sub appearance. What use are these pity minutes for Giroud?

I think Lucas might start midweek. Have a feeling. If not then that's a bit poor.

Great 2nd half. Could have scored 2 more if we wanted to.

Sanchez and Ozil are irreplaceable. Who are we kidding, there are no players (available) out there who can replace either. We might as well offer both 300k p/w

great stuff either side of half time to turn it around
still same defensive issues but efficient attack makes us get away with

think Cech was better at saving Penos at Chelsea but now (i suspect)he just seems to take the data of penalty takers and mostly reacts based on that(not sure but think so)

Mustafi's aerial strength was missing at times during corners. He is going to be a massive miss against Lukaku.

Gabriel is okay in the air but nowhere near Mustafi's level.

For a 'lucky' team we sure concede a lot of referee mistakes against us, but we also react a lot better to early goals conceded than in previous years.

Low-key happy that Gabriel gets a chance to partner Koscielny in defence. It's a bit sad that Wenger seems to change his teams only when they are injured/suspended or play against rubbish opposition. Same with Lucas Perez and Gibbs. None of them will play unless someone is injured-- regardless of performance levels.

Gabriel has done well vs Lukaku in previous games
Everton lacks creativity
just like last time we need our cbs to go tough on Lukaku in 1 vs 1s and neutralize him

Good performance and good result overall despite Lee Mason's best efforts to make things difficult for us. Impressed by how well we came back when we went behind, no need to panic just stay patient and wait for the chances. Bellerin also helped, he provides good width and stretches the pitch very well. It's like having a winger and an extra attacking player at the same time  Shocked

The two Wingers, Ox and Theo stepped up today. One got the goal and the other got an assist. This is what we want to see, we can't have Ozil and Sanchez carrying the attack for the rest of the season. We need others to come in and perform, hopefully they will keep this up for the run of games we have coming up. We looked a bit shaky defensively but we lost Mustaphi and Bellerin was a bit rusty and when you look at the quality of players Stoke have. They are always going to cause you problems. I hope Mustaphi's injury isn't too serious. We will miss his aggression and leadership.Gabriel doesn't inspire much confidence to be honest. The sooner Mustaphi comes back the better.

Wanted to have a shout about Cech inspiring zero confidence in pens. Hasn't even once since joining here. Worse, seems to dive the wrong way/dives early.

Xhaka for his average physique holds the ball very well and is an asset while defending dead balls. Had a few strong clearances today. If only he could manage his tackling we've got a serious player in our hands.

Is it just me or both Xhaka and Monreal tackle in a way, which almost makes the ref award a pen, if the tackle was a correct one?

Gonna miss Mustafi's passing as well. He was good at bringing balls from the back and those over-the-top balls.

It is silly sending Giroud on for the last few minutes, when absolutely no one is interested in crossing to him and want to eat up time. He kept asking for crosses only for players to keep pinging it around the D. Better to send Perez who can make runs and also get some minutes under his belt.

Whatever happened to Ramsey?

Ramsey had a slight hamstring problem apparently.

I wouldn't say Xhaka has an average physique. He has dat dere lean muscle.
