Seen it.
That 1v1 moment vs the snake in the coffin.

Misery is a very good one. But probably too slow for you.
Maybe Frozen, Unknown, or Non-Stop

Frozen is too complex for him imo. Maybe big hero 6 might be better

Firenze wrote:surprised to see most of the anticipated movies all have awful reviews
Collateral Beauty, Passengers, Assassins Creed, Live By Night
I'm not surprised by any of these reviews. Live By Night looked incredibly average from the trailers but had the benefit of the doubt because of Ben Affleck directing it.
Assassins Creed's script was written by guys who did the last Transporter.
Collateral Beauty and Passengers was doomed from the start because of the stupid plot.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Passengers could've had a great plot if they had the guts to go full out on the rapey storyline.
Loved some trailers for all those movies tbh. Most of all Live By Night.
Collateral Beauty was false advertising and Assassin's Creed sounds like it was made by someone who never played the game

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Honestly Passengers would have worked well if they kept that part as a plot twist.

Breakdown - 8.5 - Amazing from start to finish. Great suspense. Thought Kurt Russell was Ziggler for a sec.
The Next Three Days - 8.5 - Top suspense again.
SAW - 7.5 - Good movie overall. Thought the flashbacks kinda ruined the momentum of the main story though.

Breakdown was much better imo. Much more tense, mysterious and less generic compared to Taken.

I'm going to the cinema in a few hours can't decide between La La Land and Nocturnal Animals. The group i'm going with is more into suspense, but I want to see both equally as bad. Which should I recommend? Which one is the better movie?

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Ended up seeing Nocturnal Animals
8.3/10
Gyllenhaal is a goat actor currently. He's so fricking good. Amy Adams this year though Michael Shannon was fantastic as always.
So many questions but I really enjoyed the film. Definitely worth a watch. This is one those that I'll definitely have to rewatch.

The Jungle Book (2016)
What a *bleep* film. Seeing your childhood come alive like this. Incredible CGI man. Seeing those iconic moments got me emotional AF. Only thing which wasn't the best was the child actor's acting at times. Also they didn't have all the songs
Main man baloo would destroy shere khan one on one in real life though
Definitely one of the best of 2016
8.6/10

Should be great.
Knew that King Louie was Christopher Walken ffs. Could recognise that voice anywhere.
Couldn't recognise Idris Elba or Bill Murray.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Saw Fantastic Beasts for my Christmas Day movie.
Really enjoyed it. Went into this purposely not reading any other reviews on it, but I did read up on the background of this story to get my bearings. Fascinating stuff and richly structured, as usual, by Rowling. Can't wait for the sequels.
Colin Farrell indeed looked great in this and made Percival Graves seem nigh on invincible. The Grindelwald reveal at the end totally got me, but it looks like Johnny Depp might just have next great role. I've never been a huge Eddie Redmayne fan, but this is probably the best thing I've seen him in beyond when I first became aware of him in Pillars of the Earth. The awkwardness of his character was just very well done. It's like he had Asperger's Syndrome or something and it worked really well.

Not Elba? That voice is so amazing. It's the most commanding voice I've ever heard. Not even close:

Nah. I even said to myself that Shere khan's voice is amazing but didn't realise it was Elba.
Bare Necessities is one of the most addicting Disney songs by far.

He was the perfect voice for Shere Khan. No idea how I would handle listening to him as a kid. I might legit cry and poop my pants.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
That scene where Shere khan killed Akela and rest of the wolves just whimpered out. That would terrify any kid lol.
Although I don't remember him chilling with the wolves in the cartoon though. I think he was hunting Mowgli instead?
