Don't care about reviews, just that i finally want to see a modern Power Rangers with today's budge and CGI
The nostalgia is going to be real

the OG Power Rangers movie was one of the earliest movies I can remember being hyped for as a kid
the villain Ivan Ooze gave me nightmares for a week
not sure I'm ready to relive it tbh

Assassins Creed - 5/10. absolute garbage
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back - 6.5/10. Meh time wasting action flick. Way worse than the first movie. I love Jack Reacher books and Tom Cruis's films are always great fun but this was very meh.

Posted this one before? Not a fresh fresh trailer. So, ignore if theres been a discussion already in the thread.
Really looking forward (Fuk off with them bad reviews and ratings, I am sold). Dat soundtrack!
Ana Lily Amirpour is real deal. Her first film was dope. A Girl Who walks alone at Night.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
day never
I imagine it will be better than the vast majority of anime/manga based movies..though that isn't setting the bar high
I remember watching the Japanese live action movie(s) at like 2am one night on TV when I couldn't sleep, they were truly awful lmao

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Since its a Netflix film then I guess it will come out on Netflix and not the theaters?
If so then for sure I'll watch it, might as well give it a try.

Cast for both L and Light looks awful. Lol at the Ferris wheel scene.
It's 'based on' so I suppose we have to allow all of this.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
I prefer when they are loose with the source material in anime and the like tbh.
Not everything that works in anime will work in a live action film, and if the director and writers are good, then a bit of freedom to realize their own vision can be the best.
Best live action animer film I've watched by far is the Rurouni Kenshin series. Top films all around, excellent.

Its going to be absolutely garbage sadly, you can't compress a GOAT show into a 2 hour flick

The anime turned to shit without an ending. Only the first hald was GOAT. The ending though
Thought the teaser looked great.

I do hope they end the film after the 1st half and not continue with the 2nd half.

Agreed. Can't be bothered with any other main "antagonist" than L tbh.
Can't wait. I don't know why people are upset tbh. It's even a Netflix film You basically get it for free, since you're paying anyways.
Speaking of Netflix, has anyone seen Chapelle's new show?

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
I hope they don't make Light a loner sociopath. He's supposed to be an arrogant, popular, good looking high school idealist. He looked straight up like a serial killer in the teaser.

Patriot's Day - 8.0
Very good movie. Remember the Boston Marathon bombings like it was yesterday. Really good portrayal I thought.
Deepwater Horizon - 7.8
Remember the oil spill like it was yesterday as well. Not as good as Patriots Day but it was good as well in its own way.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Power Rangers was quite good. A better reboot than I dared expect. A good mash up of elements from the Breakfast Club and the Avengers.
There is camp. Wouldn't be a true take in the show without it, but level of character depth they went into was a pleasant surprise. Some truly funny scenes, some really heartfelt ones as well and a considerable amount of homage paid to the original show and some of the sequels by way of a great deal of Easter eggs thoughout that had me grinning like I was 7 again.
Really enjoyed this movie. It did not disappoint.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
I have the Daredevil movie playing in the background since there's nothing else on TV atm. Only caught bits and pieces of it years ago. What an unbelievably shit movie. Just had a scene where it broke into an Evanescene music video for like 3 minutes
I remember The Punisher movie from around the same period being decent though,
