4-0 at home, main striker get a hattrick, gets semi-injured but Janssen still can't get on Laughing

Janssen will be spearheading Newcastle's attack next season, leading them back to the championship IMO. Horrific player.

Theyve been playing that way for most of the season now

Harry Kane the best striker in the league scoring another hat trick?

Shocking.

Pretty much every top 5 league has a more exciting title challenge than the Premier League.

Most entertaining/exciting league no longer? hmm

But does any of those leagues have a Ranieri impersonator having sex with half of Leicester??

I rest my case.

None of Xhaka's tackles was anywhere near as horrible as the Alli one.
Some of them Xhaka red cards were ridiculous really and he wouldn't have gotten them in Bundesliga.

Xhaka still got red cards in the BL, so even if they were ridiculous it's xhaka's nature to get carded.

Kind of agree with Graeme Souness. And he is right you know. That edge on a talent player like Dele is different than on a scrub Hothead Xhaka.

Imagine if Ozil had the same edge. Would be better than the look of indifference he has in big game that aren't going his way. Won't excuse Dele getting the red or that dangerous tackle he committed though.

Yeah Xhaka is a stupid fouler. He makes unneccessary, brainless tackles.
But the English like to pride themselves with the myth that their league is somehow more manly and physical, and frankly that's not true, if you consider the kind of challenges Xhaka has been sent off for.

He's not good but don't think he's terrible either. He needs the team to play for him though and Tottenham are way too good to change their game just to make him look better. He's limited but within his limits he's not TOO bad. He's not good enough to play for a good team of course.
He has to play for a small team because only a small team can be built around a player of his quality. If that happens I can see him look decent again, even good on paper.
Obviously in theory a good team could be built around him and he'd get decent numbers but it just wouldn't make any sense for them to do that.

Don't know what clubs like Tottenham pay their scouts for.

I wonder if Leicester will benefit from the mythical post old manager syndrome and pull off a win tonight

As much as I dislike them for what they did to Ranieri, I hope they thrash Loserpool

The Netherlands NT isn't built around him and he's played very well there. It's just a matter of confidence and adjustment for him right now. He was very unlucky at the beginning of the season when he was generating a bunch of chances and putting in good work but he just couldn't finish -- and a striker with no confidence can look really bad at times.

We need both Memphis (who is already on his way) and Janssen to rediscover what made them successful in the first place and regain the confidence needed to have strong performances. It's kind of like a catch 22 in that a lot of players need to play well to have confidence and need confidence to play well. They just have to get their heads right. The reality is neither of those players should have gone to United or Spurs where they weren't going to have room to make mistakes as young players. There's a really interesting study on the effects of being a big fish in a small pond for development and confidence and how it relates to success that I've been reading lately -- and it definitely can explain a lot of these very talented players that fizzle out by moving to clubs too big for them too early.
