Good win and a fine match from Casemiro and Benzema. Didn't look for Ronaldo being subbed so we all know that is gonna be the talking point all week. Um, Ramos was immense as well and Nacho got better as the match went along. Dani did Dani things and Kroos really stepped up his CM role today.

Don't have to think about Real Madrid for at least a week.

Another triumph. I trust we maintain winning come April.

Edit: almost forgot... Benzema 5/10 would only watch highlight s once.
Step in right direction but needs more consistent performances.

We played well. Especially the ball winning was spot on. It made a huge difference. The wingers sucked this game however.

These Bilbao players are despicable. Raul Garcia didn't even get a card and he was hacking our players all over the pitch. Fecking scumbags

WHy do you say this when Casemiro is one of the guys who is mostly supported in this team?

Even i who wanted pogba made it clear Casemiro's position was non negotiable, or at the very least, we needed to have a DM in the squad.

I think the criticism of Casemiro comes with his ability to help playing out of the back, and to resists pressure on the ball, he clearly lacks in that area. He will surprise us with some passes like the one to CR on the benzema goal, but all and all, he is more gifted physically than he is technically or tactically. It's a fair observation, yet that doesnt mean he can have success

Benz has 8 goals this season. Sit down yeah, he is shit. Every striker on the rival teams are chilling up there in the 20th and this guy comes here to gloat about his first solid shift all season. If I were you I'd keep staying away for the embarrassment alone.

Who cares about Jogba. Only like a handful of fans wanted him. Like all the other french players he is overrated

Is N'zonzi overrated?

That's not really true Hala. You're only focusing on league when there are a lot of other competitions. He was injured a lot too early. He has 8 goals and 4 assists in 17 starts in La Liga. Overall, he has 16 goals and 6 assists in 27 starts. For elite strikers, you're looking for a .60 ratio or better and he's not that far off.

The guys ahead of him have started 23-25 games in the league. you can't count sub appearances where he comes on for 10-15 mins.

Not having a great year by any stretch... but unlike other years, he's coming on late since he was injured early. So I can see him easily scoring close to 25 goals and getting 10 assists in all comps.

That's a typical Benzema year statistically.

He's not having a lot of impact on the buildup and the games... which is why I think that, despite the stats that he will likely end up with, he will have a subpar year.

Casemiro is the best thing that happened to this team. Defensively he carries the midfield. Yesterday Modric had no interceptions, tackles, steals or anthing useful defensively. it was all Casemiro. He was such a wall they tried to get him sent off. He is very good on the ball too, obviously not Kroos but we get out of alot of pressure situations with his excellent one touch passes, just watch the game from yesterday, Kroos and Casemiro constantly got us out of the mental pressure by Bilbao by simple pass and move. His long balls are arguably the best in the world too, only Kroos and Xabi can boast of having better long balls than him. On the ball Casemiro aint even close of being a problem for us. This whole Casemiro is shit on the ball is such a myth you'd think we were talking about Vidal or something jeez

casemiro is utter mediocre on the ball, literally useless in tight spaces. can't wait for llorente to come back.

French players overrated

This coming from a fan who thinks Nacho is WC, Vasquez is a great player, Morata should start, etc.  I won't even go through previous years' statements (i.e. Callejon, etc.).

When France becomes WC champs, which they will in Russia or should at the very least end up in the semis, we'll see what you say.  Chelsea's best player is French.  The young French are carrying Monaco.  Griezmann.  Ousmane Dembele.  Umtiti.  Heck, i could ramble about 10 players Madrid would love to have who are French.

And Pogba is fantastic... just pleb fans like most expect him to score 20 goals and give 20 assists, which was never what he was about.  And he's being played out of position by Mourinho.

NZonzi is massively overrated. He only looks good when the team does. That team runs around like crazy winning the ball back. When Leicester were countering against Sevilla Nzonzi was nowhere to be seen because he is slower than a wounded elephant. Look at who tops defensive stats in the league, I'll give you a hint he is Brazilian and plays in the midfield for us.

Not sure who's become more overrated these past 2 seasons between Nzonzi and Rabiot. Above average players at best. Llorente dominated this guy last time they met and he plays for a team that's just been promoted
