Coming into the PL thread, Acknowledging that you don't watch or have any prerequisite of the Football in the PL and acknowledging that you don't know the playing style of a player who made it to the all time greats winning just 1 CL and no PL's over 25 years and then start a pretty aggressive follow train of defending Ozil.
Pretty weird if you ask me, People would call me a troll on the other boards.

There's no sea in Slovakia so I'm not sure why there would be fishermen
What do you call people who fish in lakes and rivers?

Wenger called him "a box to box midfielder" when he signed him. I feel sorry for him and some of our other talented players.
Anyway Xhaka has been one of the few players who has played well in this whole shitstorm.
I'm more worried about Mustafi, the dude is straight up awful. I'm honestly joining the "DON'T SIGN A CB FROM LA LIGA" club, it's a league where Mustafi, Otamendi are "tough" defenders lmao.
Its Valencia. They must have some Fraud Seminars for CBs in there. Albiol, Mustafi, Otamendi, all the frauds come from there.

Arsenal are 21 points behind Chelsea right now. Considering we finished 21 points behind them last season, I would love it if they finished at least 21 points behind us this season.

With Stoke away, Southampton away, Spurs away, United home. We will finish 30 points behind you at least.

This weekend is massive, didn't realize that both City and Pool have quite tough fixtures (Soton and West Brom away)
I'm not expecting to win against Chelsea, but it was a close game last time around, only decided by that Kante screamer and we were down to 10 men. Plus they haven't been amazing as of late. Very winnable game, And we have to win it, fully expect Pool or City to drop some points.

I can see draws for Liverpool and city and a Chelsea destruction job on you lot. Chelsea can see the finish line now and I expect them to find a way to get past the man u bus tbh.Firenze wrote:This weekend is massive, didn't realize that both City and Pool have quite tough fixtures (Soton and West Brom away)

We haven't parked a bus since the first time we played Chelsea you muppet. Chelsea are the ones that park prime buses now and look to counter (and do it very well). We've played very open football this season. That said I wouldn't put it past Mourinho to cowardly set up the team to not lose against his former club.

Maintaining a shape in your own half and hitting a quick attack as soon as you win the ball is hardly parking the bus mate. If we were parking the bus, we wouldn't even be looking to attack much. Relax.
That said, I fully expect Jose to want to win this game especially as Liverpool and City would have already played by the time the match starts and may have both drawn. Also, his ego won't let him not want to get a win over Conte in 3 tries this season. Either way, we're winning this one imo.
2-1.

The PFA Player of the Year shortlist has been announced:
Eden Hazard
N'Golo Kante
Harry Kane
Romelu Lukaku
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Alexis Sanchez
Not a bad list, though I would have had Sadio Mane in there over Kante. Dele Alli has a decent argument, too, although he's shoe-in for Young Player of the Year.

While all of them had a decent and consistent season, I think those two were more influential in their respective team's fortune.Jay29 wrote:The PFA Player of the Year shortlist has been announced:

#LFC stat: Tony Pulis has never lost a Premier League home game against Liverpool - with any of the teams he has managed.

3rd best team in the league doesn't have a single member but scrubs at 5th, 6th, and 7th spot get their players shortlisted.
Anyways Kante should win it. He and Costa have been the most important Chelsea players and let's be honest someone from Chelsea has to win it.

Jay, why ever would you take out Kante?
Probably the most influential player in the league currently.

Last time we conceded under 40 in a season was Rafa's last season
Last few years it's been average of 50 goals conceded.
