Firenze speaks the truth even though I lol'd at competitive with Madrid.

There was just a bit of a rough patch in there between now and that time. Even then they had prime Bale and a good season or two under AVB where they were better than Pool. The only time since like 08-09 where Pool has been better was when Spurs had a horrorshow season including Tim Sherwood at the helm and that was the same season Coach Suarez brought Mr. Slippy and all of his friends a couple points away from a title.

For the most part we've been far more open than I expected from a Mourinho side. I know I have shit on Mourinho a few times in post match ramblings, but honestly our finishing has let us down so much this season, I'm expecting decent things going forward. We haven't been outplayed more than a couple times this season.

Tim Sherwood would have won the league with Spurs by now tbh.

Yeah, usually in the 70-80th min though.

Funny thing is if I dug up the actual statistics it's led to us giving up the lead at least 5 times this season Proud

Kean is the GOAT but Sherwood had unreal vines.

Which tbh is the most important thing.

Calm down lad. Spurs have been exceptional in the past 2 years, That's about it.

Prime VDV, Bayol, Peter 'titan' Crouch era they were pretty damn good too, hammering the likes of Inter, Prime Milan and being competitive with Madrid in the CL. Liverpool have had like 1 good season in the last few years m8. Spurs have had multiple.

Lol. They've been average. They've been good 2 times in the past 8 years and that's last season and this season.

Madrid? Didn't they lose that 5-0?

Hammering the likes of Inter aka losing 4-1 in the second leg?

We even have a mickey mouse trophy to our name and about 5 runner up medals rofl, Spurs have one runner up medal.

They done jackshite mate, They finish 5th and we finish 7th and both of us play in the same competition next season. That's about it. lmao

But agree you would call it a great season for someone like Spurs to finish 5th and make it to the EL RO 16, Which is unfortunately something we'd strive for right now.

Talking about achievements rofl

Their highest position in the league post 2009 is still lower than Liverpool.

Their furthest journey into the EL post 2009 is still lower than Liverpool.

They've played CL once, We've played CL once and both the teams couldn't make it out of the group stages.

We have a trophy lmao

Its only the league.
tbh I couldn't care less if Liverpool finished 5th or 7th tbh.

But full marks to Spurs, They are miles ahead of us right now and I look upto their team and wish we had those players.

No such thing as a mickey mouse cup in the PL lad. Be proud of that trophy. That was an amazing penalty shootout win against lower league opposition with the strongest Pool side in years.

Not IMO, from when i have watched you are a classic Klopp team tbh.

Look like world beaters when given space which bigger teams will afford you more and look decidedly average when you have to break teams down.

Mentality is part of it, but it's also the types of players you have and the type of football you play being a lot more successful against bigger teams than smaller teams.

For next season you definitely need more players who can create for others instead of themselves, having a consistent CF with pace wouldn't hurt either.

Agree with the latter part but idk about the first part Mole, Even matches against the bottom half we've been outplayed. Klopp is still working with the same set of bottlers who've bottled another 2 finals for him. Need those signings asap

I mean i don't disagree with the mentality part, i just think it's an incomplete analysis of the situation tbh.

Changing a losers mentality takes a long time, i feel the same way about us albeit we are a much lesser level than Liverpool are.
