Can't believe you brought up Se7en and especially that ending at this time of night ffs. I'll need to google dog playing with cat videos to be able to sleep with faith in humanity now.
btw Just seen Hidden Figures:
7.2/10
Worth a watch, You're eager and engaged as to what will happen next every minute.
Story line is great as well. Its very true to what people just 40 years back have faced and lived through. They had to nail that and they've done it excellently.
Kevin Costner was brilliant from start to finish as well.

Hacksaw Ridge is unbelievably good. @Nishankly you should really watch that if you didn't already, a top class war movie. 10/10 acting by Andrew Garfield.

Main man @m69
Nishankly wrote:Including my huge war bias, I'd give Hacksaw Ridge a 4.5/5. Here are my reasons:
1. The explained the situation of a conscientious objector in the best way possible, There was one in the 101st Airbone as well. The job of a medic in war as well.
2. The storyline stays completely true to Doss, No deviations whatsover, Nowhere i felt a scene was not required in the movie.
3. The horror of war was portrayed in a decent way. I would argue only Saving Private Ryan and Enemy at the Gates would still rank above this in the genre of mainstream movies. Also the madness of the imperial Japanese soldiers, Oh my the things ive read about them.
4. Full marks to Garfield. He was brilliant from start to finish. I still need a few movies to remove the memories of him in teen flicks.
5. What a *bleep* scene when he finally comes down the hill. Soundtrack was also really on point.
Cons:
1. The chick deserved lesser attention.
2. CGI sucked, How do the movies made in 1990's seem more realistic?

HOLY *bleep* SHIT
I loved the first movie. It's one of my favorite zombie flicks. I don't care what anyone else thought of it.
And now Fincher Bah gawd

My friend keeps telling me World War Z book is GOAT and the movie butchered it. Hope Fincher lives up to the hype.

That's good for the series. Thought the first WWZ had lots of potential.
Of course, GOATcher will do it justice.

Yea first WWZ was a solid 7/10. Had a lot of potential but didn't really live up to it.
Fincher will make it 9/10 easily

Re: The Movie House - Part 10
The Edge of Seventeen had the most realistic portrayal of teenagers I have seen since The Spectacular Now. Great film, really funny at times. Main man Woody was the MVP. Still its annoying that they cast supermodels as high school virgin that boys don't even look at.

She's a child actor.
She's pretty enough. I always interpreted the lack of interest in her to be due to her personality. From what I remember she was pretty awful (I understand why though). Also isn't theee a guy that's totally into her?

Re: The Movie House - Part 10
Was/is
She's been an actor since she was 9, Academy Award nominated at 13. What I mean is, that she's been famous as an actor before she became a model, so it's weird to define her as that.
Also she wasn't supposed to be ugly in the story as I read it.

Re: The Movie House - Part 10
I like it, but it seems a lot more 'hollywoodified' than i expected, lots of neat references in there. Denzel being Mordred Deschain .
I kinda wanted a more intricate story with Jake and Roland, seems like its going to be like a semi-blockbuster with an emphasis on action.

I think the trailer was just trying to sell the movie on being a generic blockbuster. It's pretty obvious Sony has no clue how to market their films. They should hire people who do.
Also... That's not Denzel

Considering marketing it like that will likely create more interest in it from the average movie goer, as the people who like the books will go anyway i'd argue they do know what their doing tbh.
