Re: The Movie House - Part 10
Took long enough.
Thought Irishman would be shelved but if anyone can name a bigger project then Pacino's first project with Scorsese, starring alongside DeNiro, Pesci and *bleep* Keitel then I'll delete my account.

It's safe to say at this point Matthew Vaughn carried him really. Haven't hat a huge hit since they split. And Vaughn hasn't made a less than good movie.

Uncanny from you my friend given you just named actors I all highly detest with such severe vitriol it brings bile to my mouth, so talentless and terrible they are, along with a dreaded combo you named.
Unreal post.

Jonah Hill is a one trick pony and has shown more recent dimension as of yet but you never can shake of the feeling that is Jonah Hill even if he is surrounded by layers of plastercine and a voice box.
Cera on the other hand is a poor man's Eisenberg (which is pretty bad) and is typecast into one specific role and is as multi-dimensional as Olivier Giroud.
All in the all the truth is that I will only take them as serious actors even if the roles are poorly-acted, provided that they are, ripped.

Nothing would make me feel worse about myself than witnessing a ripped Jonah Hill or Michael Cera.

Re: The Movie House - Part 10
Paterson (2016) finally!!
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5247022/?ref_=tttr_tr_tt
As usual ma man jarmusch didn't disappoint. But having said that this film was very un-Jarmuschy I felt. Celebrating mundanity is not something someone normally associate with his films (as far as I can remember the last such film was the surprisngly bad Limits of Control (2009)). Paterson is more from the Coen Brothers's school of film making. Reminded me a lot of Inside Llewyn Davis.
Anyway, loved it. It's so refreshing to see a 'boring' film to be this entertaining. Only the Coens and JJ can pull something like this off almost consistently.
Adam Driver is the REAL DEAL. What a performance. And my Golshifteh is pure
8.5/10. Not Jarmusch's best work. But easily in his top 5 I would say

Severly disappointed in Alien Covenant, played out exactly like Prometheus, exactly
Did Ridley Scott lose it or something? There's so much laziness in this movie that i can't fathom

Lol. Not surprised. Ridley Scott's finished and its been a while that he's finished. Old man should retire or simply stick to producing films.

That's just plain wrong. He isn't finished. He's just very hit'n'miss. Always has been.
Edit: Ridley Scott is still and has always been a great director. He's amazing at setting up a world and putting together a story. But he has trouble when the script is lacking. When his movies fail it's almost always due to the script being written by a mediocre/bad screenwriter. He isn't a writer, so there's only so much he can do to improve dialogue, story etc.

Danny McBride was also really good in it. Can't wait to watch him do more dramatic work.

That's what I want you to be mind boggled about for the rest of your life.
You will have sleepless nights pondering this idea. After finally getting 2 minutes' sleep, and you're alarm forcing you out of bed, you will hate me and detest me. You will look at yourself in the bathroom mirror while brushing your teeth, and you will see Kristen Stewart as your reflection. You will suffer through your breakfast, your morning cereal floating on the milk will mimick the genuine irresistable smile of Michael Cera. You will go to work and hear Jesse Eisenberg murmering around endlessly in your head. And when you go for lunch, Jonah Hill will for real show up out of nowhere and take that last doughnut that you thought could have saved your day.
