Apparently United are going to have 50 players in first team next season, I've been counting.

Any chance Bayern sell Vidal to free up space for Goretzka?

Are Bayern signing Goretzka? that seems like it would be a great signing. Although I can see him playing between Vidal and Thiago. More replacing Alonso than replacing Vidal.

I think this summer would be a good time to sell Vidal tbh, Goretzka looks a top talent. Could see Vidal at Arsenal tbh.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Fabio Paratici and Beppe Marotta from Juventus are due meet with officials from the Bavarian club to discuss the situation with Medhi Benatia and Kingsley Coman.
During these negotiations, it’s reported that the Bianconeri will lay the foundation for summer negotiations over Costa, with whom they have been linked with over several months.

Imagine being hipster enough to name your son Rodrygo instead of naming it Rodrigo like every other Brazilian/Portuguese parents
It's like someone naming Albert, Albaert.

Real Madrid winning the race to secure David de Gea's services, says Guillem Balague.
“I wanted to clarify a point I made earlier. I’m convinced Real Madrid are winning the race for David de Gea. It surprises me that Manchester United, who have aspirations of being the biggest club in the world, would let him go. But it seems to be reaching a point where everyone is in agreement that it is best if they go their separate ways."
frenzy talking about man u buying the best players in the world and they cant keep hold of the best player they have

You can't force a player to stay when he has his mind set to leaving, that's why clubs also work the players before they start dealing with clubs

Well, you can it just usually isn't in the interests of the club to do so. If a player is under contract, they can surely hold you to it. But as this is a business, its a very damaging economic move.
Player power nowadays is at an all time high.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Balague less credible than Sports. DDG is contracted for 3 years, it would take a ridiculous offer for us to let him leave. We don't have to think about selling him.
What happened to his 50m release clause btw? ppl here were acting like it was true months ago to suit their agenda, funny how we've heard nothing about it since. Because it isn't real.

Only small clubs act like that, trying to shackle players to their contract ala Spurs to Modric when he wanted to go to Chelsea. Otherwise, it looks bad for the club, and big clubs dont want to look bad.Luca wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:You can't force a player to stay when he has his mind set to leaving, that's why clubs also work the players before they start dealing with clubs

I agree. I'm reminded of Llorente with Bilbao, they made him see out his contract to join Juventus.
I'm not sure if I would classify it as small club behaviour but it's harmful on both fronts. By making the player see out their contract, you're refusing any monetary return and when you're talking about the players that a club would want to block from leaving, you're talking about multi millions.
For me though, it elevates a player above the club. Like Pogba with Juventus, some said we should do just that but I never wanted to see him shackled to the club like a prisoner.

Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
put all that proud stuff away, your club has already agreed to sell him if not for the deal to break down due to paperwork issues, it's a fact.Firenze wrote:Balague less credible than Sports. i dont know why you act so proud. yes we will pay you a lot of money, but ultimately he will leave Manchester.
Focus on signing british players, you will keep them for sure.

That was then, this is now. We have him for another 3 years so we don't have to budge at all. DDG won't push for anything after how it broke down last time either.
Quote this post in 3 months. Huge money + a top player or nothing, IMO.
