UCL Final Empty UCL Final

Everyone is hitting form... and most importantly Varane and Navas. Benzema playing much better too.

Just need Danilo to hold it together and we got this imo. ZZ knows Serie A very very well. He won't be surprised or unprepared for what Juve bring.

Carvajal just said on RMTV he should start training with the first team very soon, i wonder if it's enough time to get to speed, would still be better than Danilo if not at 100 percent.

Bale is my only question mark atm.

Hopefully Bale doesn't make it. I feel we have a better chance with Isco.

Juventus stands no chance against destiny. Zidane got dis.

I hope that even Bale Makes it, Zidane leaves him on the bench, he could be useful as a sub

Both Bale and Carvajal are expected to join the group this Wednesday. That should give them one week to prepare. That's more than enough for Carvajal. Bale is different, he hadn't played since the Clasico and hasn't hit the form he had at the start of the season. I hope we can have him on the bench at least

The key is to make Barzagli and Chiellini come out wide to cover... leave Bonucci with space to cover. With Barca, they didn't have to worry about crosses with the midgets in the middle. Monaco was missing its main crossing threats in Mendy and Sidibe (they needed both). Madrid is a different animal all together.

in that regard sports then bale is needed, he is an aerial threat that can never be ignored.

Varane finding elite form at the right time too... this is really important with Ramos going a bit sideways and Carvajal a big question mark.

Well, Marca has started its campaign in favor of Isco with a bunch of articles and a cover assuring that Isco will start over Bale in the final.

UCL Final DAqr6BvWAAAHPPH

Bale's been lucky to win 2 CL's on the pitch as it stands, he can play 25 or so mins in this one and still raise the CL with the Welsh flag around his waist, np.

Carvajal is already training with the team and has 1 week of training ahead.

I think Starting Isco is the right thing to do firstly because he's 100% fit and second because his style adjusts better to what i believe Juve will do, Juve will sit back and try to deny us space, Isco is better for that type of game.

Post by The Madrid One Tue May 30, 2017 5:25 pm

Today Carvajal said that physically he is at 200 percent and mentally/emotionally at 300 percent.

As for Bale, he's said that his operation caused all of his injury problems this season, and that he would understand if he didn't start considering he hasn't played for 6 or 7 weeks, and that whatever is best for the team is what is important.

About the final, i think this one is very important in different ways to the 10th and 11th. The 10th was like a revival of sorts and we were taking a weight off our shoulders, the 11th felt sort of unexpected, this Saturday we'll be fighting to confirm a European legacy the likes we haven't see since Bayern and Ajax in the 70's. If we lose on Saturday it will be sad not to confirm ourselves.

We should focus on not conceding goals as much as scoring, give a round performance and finish it in 90 mins.

I'm not confident to be honest.

And not that this is a major factor but if any of you follow RM players on Instagram quite a few look like they're on vacation already. Sergio Ramos especially

Good thing Bale is not pushing to start, He could be more helpful coming off the bench when Juve Players will be tired

Best news is that Bale explicitly said that he's not 100%. Absolutely no reason to start him

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/may/30/gareth-bale-fears-he-will-not-be-fit-enough-to-play-in-champions-league-final-real-madrid-juventus

Bale wrote:I am not 100%: I haven’t played for six or seven weeks: I obviously had my operation which still really hasn’t recovered,” Bale said. “If I’m called upon to start, I will start obviously. But to last 90 minutes: I haven’t played a lot of football this year since my operation, so that would be difficult. Isco has been playing fantastically well for us, at the end of the season, so whatever the manager decides I will [accept it]. Whether he or I start, we’ll both be cheering each other on.

“I’m sure [Zidane] will speak to us and I’ll find out at some point, but I have been working hard, training now the last few days. We had a practice game on Saturday and I came through it all unscathed. I feel strong, feel fit, [but] obviously match fitness is a different thing.

“It has been a difficult season, so whatever I am required to do [I will do]. I obviously have battled hard to get fit for this, and whatever is the best for the team is the most important thing: to lift that Champions League trophy is the most important thing.”

Honestly, Isco should start, hell Asensio should start over Bale. Whether it be a smokescreen or not (I actually wonder if it is a smoke and mirrors ploy myself), Bale really isn't fit enough for a match of this magnitude.

Allegri said that Isco in a 4312 shape makes Madrid less ordered defensively, but considering the alternative is Bale and not someone like Di Maria, i am not losing sleep. What is true is that Isco is going to have the task (if he starts) of running and thinking alot and being in the right place at the right time so that the team isn't broken and caught out.

If he starts i can see the subs being Bale, Asensio (or Lucas), and maybe even Kovacic.

I haven't really analyzed Juventus play at all really, but the peeps at Ecos Del Balon were talking yesterday about their Defense being overrated, and considering who they faced in their road to the final, it is safe to say they haven't faced a threat like ours at all. What worries me more is our defense.

Monaco is easily the best attacking side in Europe this season with their fullbacks, midfielders and forwards all being of extremely high quality... not to mention they faced Barca as well.

They shut both those attacks down completely. They're not overrated at all.

What they haven't faced is a midfield of the caliber of Madrid's. Barca's is very average nowadays and Monaco were too young to know what they were doing.

In the end though, I think Carvajal's health will be the key to this match.

LOL @ Monaco easily best attacking side in Europe this season

Do you even read what you say before French bias comes in the way lmao??

Best has been ours by a country mile. Our defence sucks however and can be exploited by Juve if they are smart. They only need to play this game calm and defensively, a goal is surely given.
