I feel like Wolves giving City problems just confirms Firenze point about Championship being the GOAT league.

We've been linked to him constantly over the last 18 months.

I assumed it was just because Rafa is Spanish Laughing

City through on pens. De Bruyne, Toure, Sane and Aguero all scored.

Quarter-finals looking stacked at this rate.

Wolves beat us 2-0 last season, looking back it doesn't seem so awful now.

First time ever I've seen this broken up sequence in a penalty shootout.

I hate it. This is not football. Is this going to be in real cup tournaments too, now?

Youth tournaments used it in the summer. I hate it too. Sucks a lot of the tension out of thing.

Yep. It completely deflates the grueling tension of steady, inevitable progression that makes pen shootouts so torturously suspenseful.

I really hope this will not become the standard for CL/WC etc

It was introduced because apparently the first team taking in the old format won 60% of the time or something or like that. They deemed it an unfair advantage and this is there solution. The idea being that by taking two pens in a row, you remove the pressure of having to score after the opposition has. But it just means you have to score your first pens now otherwise you're out of it.

This is why i hate it lol, it hasn't done anything to fix an unfair advantage just flipped it to the other team.

There's obscene pressure on the team who goes first.

Claudio Bravo FFS. Pity that Fifa XI team wasn't announced tomorrow because he would nailed on.

I tell's ya, Pep just improves EVERY* player he works with and that's why he's the GOAT.

*Except Mangala because no-one has the power to improve that great steaming pile of dog sh*t. File him under Lovren and Lindelof as trifecta of gash.
