Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Actually, in some games Alexis played in a two with Lacazette with Ozil deeper as part of the mid three. So we were playing 3-5-2 more than 3-4-3.
So we could have the option to play Lacazette and Aubameyang together. Lacazette could also be dropped deeper and play on the left.
The real question would be how to fit Mkhitaryan into that as well. We'd have to switch back to a 4-2-3-1.

Laca can't hold up play, I would rather play him in Sanchez position, he got speed and trick for that role

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Nothing new. He's not being sold in January, at least.
Some bits from Wenger's press conference this morning:
- Malcom deal is "unlikely to happen" now
- Expects the Sanchez deal to be sorted one way or another soon; called it "an exchange of players"
- Said that Mkhitaryan's wages will not be a problem; also said he likes him a lot
- Sanchez will play for Arsenal on Saturday if deal falls through. Wenger didn't rule out possibility.
- Was cagey on Aubameyang: "I have nothing to add. This kind of thing is better when it is secret. You announce it when it is over the line. Nothing else is close."
- Nothing to add on Jonny Evans

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Ffs really wanted Malcom too but it looks like Mkhi and Aubameyang are close to arriving.
We haven’t signed an exciting attacking talent since Oxlade-Chamberlain.
We should try for Pavon if Malcom isn’t happening.

Re Malcom: Bordeaux are about to sack their manager and are struggling big time. So I wonder if they've blocked a move.
Ornstein did say it was going to be two players in and not three.
I wonder if the Premier League Short Term Costs Control has played a part too. Can only raise our wage bill by £7m in a transfer window. Alexis goes and Mkhi takes his wages. Walcott and Coquelin out covers Auba. But no room for anyone else without selling.

I think Giroud will probably go by the end of the transfer window, there’s no place for him if Aubameyang arrives so that should free some £100k/week for another possible signing.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Zorc: “We find it disrespectful to comment on players from other clubs. There is no contact with Arsenal. We assume that Arsene Wenger has enough to do to care about with the performance of his own players.”
What Wenger said about Aubemayng in his press conference:
"I have nothing to add. This kind of thing is better when it is secret. You announce it when it is over the line. Nothing else is close."
Just a slight overreaction from BVB.

He's been left out Dortmund's squad for their game tomorrow. Zorc says he's not 100% focussed.

Auba sounds like a lovely chap.
Wonder if Ramsey will square up to him first or Wilshere.

As of now, Arsenal plan on signing Mkhitaryan, Evans & Aubameyang in this transfer window. I think we’ll finally see movement tomorrow.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
No developments expected on Sanchez/Mkhi deal today. So neither will be at their new club for the weekend's games (had to be registered by 12:00 today for them to play).
Club still working on Aubameyang.
Malcom could now be joining Spurs Arsenal dropped their interest, said he was "too inexperienced".
All according to Ornstein.
We're now in the drag period of the signings, where updates are minimal and nothing significant will happen until next week.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Mkhitaryan deal up to Raiola. If he agrees it happens, if doesn't it won't. No issue with #MUFC or player. To clarify on Malcolm, reason (among a few) #AFC out was price/value relative to experience - not inexperience alone. Not sure on #THFC reports but Pochettino is a huge fan

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I don't understand how a move is up to the agent. If the player and both teams agree, why would the agent have the power to stop it? Wouldn't he be acting against the player's best interests and be fired?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
It's not having the power to stop it per se, but that Mkhitaryan - and a lot of players, really - seek advice from his agent about where they should be playing. If Raiola says that the move isn't good for whatever reason, Mkhi's going to listen.

Arsenal with a first official offer for Aubameyang according to Kicker. They offer €50m which likely won’t be enough. Dortmund want at least €60m. https://t.co/Vbh6KsdYOg
