Its going to be hilarious if they bang and then Jon finds out about his heritage. Jon really doesn't like someone who would consciously commit incest.

Didn't have any problem with the Gendry run + Dragon travel either. But they probably should have tried to make Dany's face look a lot colder since she traveled at high speed and high altitude in such a weather. But that's a small nitpick.
@ES, I think most people expected that to happen even before their storylines crossed paths. Doesn't feel out of place either considering they're both Targaryens. Dany likes strong fearless pretty boys with dark hair. Jon likes women who can call him out on his BS
Btw, the Stark gene must be really strong for Jon's hair to be so dark despite his father having silver hair. How'd Sansa get red hair then? Ah well...

From my experience it's pretty common for black haired men and blond haired wives to get black haired children. Blue eyes and blond hair is recessive genes afaik.

He had a simple instruction. If he had just done what he'd been told and not try to claim a victory for himself on his own, nothing would have gone wrong.

Re: GAME OF THRONES - PART 8 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
Arya might be psychotic but she was never stupid. Unfortunately she has devolved into one of the stupidest characters in the show.
Remember how she was strolling around carefree in Braavos and asking for tickets to Westeros? Everyone was saying she was baiting Waif but instead she got stabbed in the stomach and dove into water and went to hide with that theater lady.
Her conversation with Sansa was so infuriating to watch.

Freeza wrote:ES wrote:urby is completely right, she was retarded, who confronts her sister like this mini Mrs Smith? She keeps insisting something something sinister Sansa is doing which isn't true, so freaking retarded
If she wanted to hurt Sansa she wouldn't give her the dagger. Let's seee what happens next episode.
She's psycho though. Would hate her being all chummy with Sansa, a sister she's always hated.
I like to believe Arya more or less understood Sansa was telling the truth when they had the 1st confrontation. Because of her faceless man training she can probably tell whether someone is lying or not. There were 1 or 2 close up shots of Arya's face in between that 1st scene. Brief but were kinda telling.
Then in the 2nd scene it was Sansa who came snooping into her stuff (so perhaps we can assume Arya had already moved on). Then they played the game of lies and that probably gave her the full confirmation Sansa was innocent. So yea, the dagger was handed back. That could be because she might have sensed the fact Sansa was jelly over her having the dagger.
Then again, its futile speculating Arya's story as we have already done last season with cool ideas only to get fooled in the end with some stupid parkour and shit. So, ya wont be surprised if Arya still try to harm her in the final episode.

Nice
Thats basically everything drawn out plain and dry.

- Also last time Uncle Benjen came out of the blue to rescue Bran and Meera from wights he was able to put them both on his mount and ride off. And that when we had a well an able Meera who can perfectly ride the thing. Here despite the fact that Jon can't basically move his limbs he is been put on the horse to ride alone and Benjen gives up his life just like that.
Its like only then the showrunners realized nearly everyone in the kamikaze squad had survived this improbable mission and for the sake of killing someone they had to part ways with Benjen. lol.
Its so funny, the writing. Imagine D&D didnt have the luxury of the books to simply copy paste for the 1st 4 seasons
Any guesses, what would have been the reason Jorah and Beric were kept alive? Others surviving is self explanatory.
Perhaps now that the Bear Islands and Lyanna Mormont is somewhat a major-ish character, they probably want us to give an arc with Jorah meeting them. Besides fighting alongside Dany that is.
Dondarion's is a toughie. I am assuming there will be a significant part for him to play too in the great war.

I assume in the books it'll be something else like maybe the horn.
Definitely think its gonna be Horn in the books. This ep made me think Young Griff will ride Viserion in the books. Since he's cut from the show they just gave Viserion to Night King.

Fair enough. Wasn't aware and I've been reading the books in the GoT offseason so I'll have to try to steer clear of this for a while then

I'm not sure why Beric's been kept alive other than cool factor. It seems to me that for a series with only 7 episodes left far too few characters are dying.

Re: GAME OF THRONES - PART 8 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
Technically, Jon did die, he just came back
The problem right now with killing off main characters right now is its kind of late in the game to introduce new characters? Or am I mistaken.
I think this series become a bit more of a spectacle then it is a well crafted story that really makes you wonder. At least that is how I felt when I began this series, without having read any of the books mind you.

Re: GAME OF THRONES - PART 8 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
I don't understand this obsession with wanting characters to die like crazy.
Do we not have another season and a 80 minute finale to go.
The next season should probably feature some good guys that are able to fight to make the fight against the NK somewhat even.
Beric survived to offer his character some actual meaning before his eventual death. He only has one life left and I feel it would be cheap to kill him the same episode as his drunk priest healer. Jorah was the logical choice to kill if anyone, he's served a lot of his purpose in the story so far, but it would also cheapen his whole grey scale storyline to die.
The Hound survived because unresolved story with The Mountain.
Jon survived because main character and hero of the story.
Tormund could've died, but it would feel weird to kill him without getting more out of his constant Brienne talk.
Thoros was the only death that made sense out of that group imho.

Also, why is The Hound taking the Wight to KL instead of someone more important? Tyrion+Davos? Seems like D&D just want 'that' to happen

Agreed with the whole people not dying thing
Good lol
I'd rather S8 wasn't Dany plus Jon and an army of nobodies.
No need to kill off main characters every 3 episodes until the very end. There's still a lot of scene building and plot tension to build. Rather it's with an array of characters we actually know.

Re: GAME OF THRONES - PART 8 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
It's been a week and I still don't understand why Sansa would send anyone south at Cersei's request. If it's so LF doesn't use Brienne between Arya and her there are better ways to do it.
The biggest issue with this season is an abundance of 'We need A and B to happen, and it doesn't matter how nonsensical, illogical or out of character the way to get there is'. The 2nd is an overabundance of plot armor that has made this completely predictable.
