So how exactly is Milan going to be FFP compliant this year when they have spent nearly close to $200 million this summer but haven't even played a Champions League game in several years?

Why would UEFA give Milan a grace period? Do Milan have pictures of the UEFA Presdient at Berlu's bunga bunga parties? No wonder Pallotta is pissed...

So Milan borrowed $300 million from a bunch of loan sharks in London at 60% interest? This should be fun...

Milan borrowed 180m, if you read Fassone's reply, he makes everything transparent

So Milan borrowed $180 million at extremely high interest rates and just blew $200 million on 10 players and are still not finished yet. Where exactly is all the money supposed to be coming from to pay this off?

Same as PSG. A Chinese government entity like the Qatari Tourist Bureau will sign a sponsorship deal that exceeds the money spent.

Re: The 2017/18 Calcio Thread
I don't think you will have a lot of fun following Benevento since they'll lose most of their games. Their cinderella story was last season. Glad they are here no matter what, it's always exciting to see new faces in 1st division.
Atalanta is unsure, honestly i can see them finishing between 6th-10th place, not more than that. TORINO are the serious underdogs.
I hope this is the year Chievo gets relegated, i've had enough now. They are boring as hell.

Re: The 2017/18 Calcio Thread
Frosinone bottled it.
Anyway Benevento's president is enough rich , so we hadn't to expect new Crotone ( well,they saved it, but just because Empoli made everything to get relegated .But they had an atricous team and infact I don't believe they 'll get saved again) or Pescara necessarily ...
Infact they are going to sign Cataldi and Kishna from Lazio, good signings for that level , expecially the first one.

Re: The 2017/18 Calcio Thread
So if Milan don't qualify to the Champions League in 2 ywars, they could go bankrupt? 60% interest rate is seriously insane. We are also ignoring the players' wages here... The only thing that could save Milan if they go bankrupt is selling Donna for a high price.

The interest rate is 11% per annum, not 60%. Still 3 times the normal rate for loans that large.

Imagine if!
I mean it could!
We will pay the consequences like Palotta said , what else could it be ? Rivals hoping we crash and burn , that doesn't please me at all , at all i tell you

Sacchi telling it as it is“I’m not saying that Napoli can’t win the League, I’m saying it can’t be an objective for them. “I can’t imagine Cagliari, Sampdoria or Verona, who also managed to win the title, ever started out with the idea of having to win at all costs. wrote:

In my opinion, the risk is huge. What guarantees them that the players they bought will secure them 4th spot? What if Inter, who have spent less, finish above them?
Everyone is thinking the exact same way as Palotta... It just doesn't make sense to everyone not involved with Milan. I think that they strongly believe that they will be back to the Milan of 2005 in 3 years time with all that spending. A massive risk here.
It took Juve 4 years to be considered a powerhorse in Europe with keeping up with the FFP rules and spending smartly. So Milan think that they can go back to the top with all that blind spending like an English club?

@Warrior
I hope Chievo gets relegated every year but its pointless. They are meant to bore us every year
@RealGunner
Atalanta went quite hard on the transfer market, who knows what they can do since its mostly a bunch of gambles they made, but we'll see. The main problem is that Gagliardini-Kessie-Conti are gone. The rest of the team is the same. They signed Ilicic (huge), Orsolini (20yo RW), Vido (20yo CF) and a bunch of other I dont know. The team looks something like
Berisha; Toloi, Caldara, Masiello; X, X, Freuler, Spinazzola; Ilicic (Orsolini), Gomez; Petagna (Vido)
Napoli will be super fun as usual with Sarri and his team.
Juve is nearing the end of the transition period with younger players in a lot of positions so it will be fun.
Torino havent done much in the market, they'll be similar.
Milan and Inter will look like completely new teams with Milan's literal new team and Inter with Spalletti.
Fiore crashed and burned.
Lazio will improve, a lot of good players and a motivated team/manager. They will be fun to watch again.
Roma will be Roma.

Re: The 2017/18 Calcio Thread
I think that Roma will fail with EDF. I don't feel that he is the one to lead them. Roma are not Sassuolo. The players they bought so far are not convincing me. I think they need more than Naingollan and (Mahrez) to lead the team now that Salah is gone. Maybe thet got back Pelligrini, but he is Still young. Regarding Under, he is young and has the potential to be a great, but still lacking experience.
