Surprised Mou hasnt gone full PTB by selecting 3 at the back. I dont think Matic being rushed into game like this is a good idea. And a mediocre turd like Lingard all of a sudden starting against Real effing Madrid. Shocked

Lingard won you two trophies with his goals in finals last year. He's a winner.

Aye. Except he's not. Would take someone like Welbeck any day over Lingard. Would take Ashley Young over Lingard. Would take *insert the name of a random English attacker* over Lingard. The only reason he is in the good books of Mou to the extent he is even starting in huge games such as these is because he is willing to run back. Perhaps the least talented player to come out of United's academy over the years.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. We have a boneheaded defense.

Those first 20 minutes had to break the record for most crosses in the first 20 min of a football match. Laughing

Madrid 1-0

Love this United set up, Hope it continues till the end of the season. Authentic Burnley, One goal you score and they have to rely on subs to come back in the second half considering they're playing 8 defensive players.

The problem is this midfield 3 of Herrera Matic and Pogba are playing together for the 1st time. Poor from Mou for not playing them together against Sampdoria. Now they look totally out of sync. Especially Ander and Pogba it seems havent yet found out what their roles are on the pitch.

First time i watch ManU in ages. They are clearly a class or two below RM. RM would trash them completely with fit CR7 in their line-up.

We haven't even played Asensio yet

This is the same Asensio that has scored in every final he has been in

Offside goals and Madrid are a match made in heaven. Alas, Madrid's midfield is, as always, sublime and Isco is clearly showing Paul how to midfield. Take notes lad. That being said, Utd just need to get Lukaku more involve as he can clearly manhandle both Varane and Ramos.

Highlight of the half for me: Paul trying to outdribble best RB in the world Dani Carvajal.

Solid performance from the team, isco as usual a scrub and benzema still not getting any service but gonna tank the blame for not scoring, average player case definitely needs competition from llorente lmao.

United just need to get a winger on for that absolute shit Lindelof and they'll be much more dangerous.

We are missing 3 of our starting CBs in Bailly, Jones and Rojo. So, not surprised defending is looking a bit shit. Lindelof is far from ready to be a starter. Would have put young Tuanzebe in his place tbh.
Anyway the real issue lies on the other side of the pitch. Not helping ofc when Mou selects only 2 outright attacking players.

DMzema
Modric - Kroos
Isco
Bale - Casemiro
