Zidane wanted Mbappe.... Madrid didn't want to break wage structure to sign him. That's the reality there.

Damn such a shame for Valencia, if Zaza werent useless they could have won this! GRrrrrrr@! Draw probably fair result though?

Weakened Real, and they look vulnerable for the first time in a long time, which is a good sign I hope Very Happy Although Casemiro playing in Ramos' position? With Ramos and Ronaldo back though, and their showing, still so good, and now with Asensio, still scary team...

18-5 in shots for Madrid.

8 shots for Benzema

Bale with worse ball control than Tupac's hologram...

Not a fair result... Well fair is a wack term to use. You don't deserve to win when you start players like Benzema and Bale.

It wasn't an end of the world result. 2-2 against a team we always have difficulties with is decent enough. Though Benzema should actually be flogged for this amount of chances he squandered. Bale should sell himself to Everton. I think it's only fair...

There you go again. Not a chance. This one is all all Zidane and his unyielding support of benzema.

Don't deny that Madrid didn't want to pay Mbappe his wages because that's exactly why he ended up at PSG instead.  That's not on ZZ.

And the bigger issue is Bale, not Benz... which is also on Flo.

It's obvious something is up with the board selecting Benz and Bale at this point.
It has been like this with every manager we've had since they came.

Your performance doesn't matter.

Zidane said not likely unless Bale moved. and he persists in starting the two losers. Sure Flo wouldn't pay salary demanded but even if he had Zidane would be playing him behind Benz, so where's your criticism of Zidane.

Pretty sure Zidane wanted Mbappé. He loves his French players, hence why he plays Benzema week in week out even though it is clear that he is done.

Bale is another story. He is Uncle Flo's love child.

Well Very Happy Am sure this is just a rare bump in Reals season though, expect them to steamroll most teams this season with that teams and performances... enjoying this rare occasion though while I can Very Happy

Zidane obviously would favour French players its ok to say? So Benzema wont be dropped that easily. But if Asensio keeps this level up, and Zidane goes for Isco... for Bale, pretty sure Real invested too much to just let him go that easily as well.

He would be playing next to Benzema instead of Bale.

We would steamroll any team if we actually had an attacker.

The refs screwed us with Ronaldo and Ramos though... Our two best strikers

Btw, outdated as usual Razz Want to update, so Villarreal lost their manager to Valencia, the former lost two games now, while the latter looking like turning things around finally. Any thoughts on this and for the clubs chances this season?

Flo actually sold Morata the Gunman (for crumbs) who has 2 goals, 2 assists in 2 games for this bum Valk can you believe it?

Seeing this guy miss 3 sitters every match yet still get praised for Ronaldo carrying the attack because of some mythical link-up play must've been why Morata was so desperate to leave.

With Mbappe snubbing Madrid for Paris it makes even less sense now.

That's why I'm not mad at Morata at all, I'm a big fan actually. He tried hard, but after 2 seasons he realised that it is impossible for anyone to compete against benzema. I've given up any hope of seeing him leave. We're stuck with him for the foressable future.

It's been 3 managers (Carlo, Rafa and Z) that witnessed BB playing like shit consistently for months, but nobody did anything. It's clearly an order from the board or something. I could get it when Ronaldo was playing every minute of every game because he is Ronaldo and he is great and would find his form, but the issues with BB aren't even related to form. They are bad footballers and we have better ones in our own yard. Laughing

Benzemas general link up play is good though, much better than most strikers around. I remember him way back used to score lots of goals, but probably having needed to play alongside Ronaldo, or just naturally hes developed into less of a finisher since Ronaldo bosses that Very Happy

Anyway, not that I dont agree but Benzema isnt THAT bad as everyone is saying atm. He wouldnt have been a Real starter for all these years and including the last season why he wont both the league and CL, right?

Based on their squad, they should make top 6. Based on their football from the 1st 2 games of the season, it's quite possible but consistency is always a permanent issue with them. They'll play out of their skins against Madrid and Barcelona then lose to Girona, Atletico and draw with Alaves.
