Reminds me of when Berbatov rejected us in the last minute to stay in London with Fulham Proud He was due to fly for Italy before Fulham offer came in lol

Talking about Malcolm , not a very wise move for him to go Barca at this stage in his career where he won't be guaranteed much game time. Having said that though, his competition will be that scrub Dembele so maybe he'll sneak in more games than expected.

[Fabrizio Romano] Malcom to AS Roma, official announcement from Bordeaux... but now Barcelona are trying to hijack the deal! New bid just sent from Barça and the player at the moment is NOT more flying to Rome. AS Roma are so angry and want to complete the deal soon.

[Mohamed Bouhafsi] Bordeaux have decided to block the transfer of Malcom. FC Barcelona has made an offer over €41m for the Brazilian tonight. AS Roma does not intend to give up.

What are your guys' opinions on this?
Roma agreed with the player and the club. Both Roma and Bordeaux officially announced the transfer. Barca slithered in last second and Bordeaux flipped it.

This is quite bizarre

Haven’t even thought about Dembele, must not feel nice to have another young right sided winger that came from Ligue 1 as competition.

Hopefully Willian joins as well so he can leave.

yeah he is a good talent, good shot from distance, good dribbler, has speed. Typical brazilian winger, i dont think he has one attributes or skill that is elite but it's about how you put it together yeah? you will need to be patient

Barca really don't like Dembele then, eh? Wow, lol. I really rate Malcom and I think 35m-41m is still a good deal in this market, but to just disregard 150m Dembele like that is so bizarre. I guess the Willian rumored were legit, and they weren't just trying to mess up the Hazard-> Madrid deal.

Dembele still plays street football, needs to learn to play like a true professional in a lesser club imo

there is nothing wrong with doubling positions, dembele or not. But it's clear that Dembele is a numpty is little football brain, he needs time. Competition is good for everyone.

according to brazilian journalists, Roma raised their offer but was not enough to convince Malcom.they say that he will play in la liga.

I can only talk about his time in Dortmund but I don't think he has a bad attitude at all. His reputation comes from forcing his move to Barcelona, which really most players would do in his place. He was well regarded by his coaches, teammates and fans before the transfer debacle.

Dortmund have developed a habit of spreading rumours about players who leave forcingly, the same happened with Aubameyang but he has been nothing short of a cool dude during his time at Arsenal.

Would love it if we could reunite Dembele with Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan but we are too cheap even if Barcelona entertained the thought of letting him go which I don't think they do right now.

Monchi Proud

also i dont understand why people think Dembele is leaving scratch barca just doubled their talent on the right wing and with iniesta gone, they have two wingers they can play in a 442 if they line up that way. This is a good depth signing to increase the talent in the team.

Most people just assume when a big money signing is made that player in his position will be sold.

Happens all the time.

It would've been better for Dembeles development had they gotten 30yo Willian. Now they've bought equally young Malcom. I give it a season before he wants to leave

when Malcom saw Barca coming for him Roma never stood a chance, it's too bad. they should have closed him earlier. They gave barca time after their offer was rejected by Chelsea for Willian and they paid for it.

I think Malcom is relishing at the chance to beat numpty dembele, competition will be good for both.

barca now have 3 extra EU players: coutinho, Arthur, Malcom. Yerry Mina is gone for sure now.
