2017/2018 version of Monaco
Key players sold:
- Mendy
- Silva
- Mbappe
- Bakayoko
- Germain
Key players bought:
- Keita Balde
- Tielemans
- Jovetic
- Kongolo
- Ghezzal
- Jordy Gaspar
- Adamma Diakhaby
- Jordi Mboula
Honestly, I think they'll be damn good. Really damn good. Falcao is better. Balde and Jovetic are pretty nice replacements for Germain and Mbappe. Tielemans is a star in the making. Jorge the new LB looks really really good to me.

Fabinho-Moutinho worked very well in the CL, that should be the starting midfield duo for now.

Re: 2017/2018 version of Monaco
Forgot Fabinho lol
It's a really good team imo. Not a CL contender... but right behind that.
PSG better not mess around in Ligue 1 because Monaco isn't going to drop many points AND they're more than talented enough to get a result against PSG in 1-2 games.

Isn't too late for Fabinho to leave now ? He's staying unfortunately for his NT career .. meanwhile Paulinho is a starter.

Monaco is a perfectly good team to play for man... i don't know why it would hurt him at all.

Well he fact that he's not been called up and I also read this somewhere :
...The same source added that the 23-year-old spoke to Brazil manager Tite, who advised him to join the big-spending French capital side and bolster his World Cup chances...

That's just ignorant from the Brazil manager. Monaco were in CL semis last year and QF the year before. They're no joke.

They'll be fine, finish top two and get to the knockouts of the CL.

I agree, that's how you replace and sell players smartly. Really like this project Monaco has been running. Didn't the guy that handles all the scouting leave to AC Milan or was that someone else?
Either way, great team

Not really.
If Monaco plays close to the last year's level after losing 5 key players and making like 200-300 millions profit, their management is out of this world.

Sorry the year before that they were in the QFs.
They are going to be close. So far, they haven't missed a beat because Falcao is on fire, Lemar has been Lemar and the new LB is good. Now bring in Balde and Jovetic to help... they'll be good.
I really feel Tielemans will be a superstar too. Moutinho is blocking him a bit... but not for long.

This team looks great on paper. Side note, why does no one want Jovetic? I don't really get it, he has bounced around a lot of late. Did Sevilla not have a buy option in the loan, because I thought he looked decent there.

Re: 2017/2018 version of Monaco
Jovetic hasn't been very good for a long time now. He last "great" season was at Fiorentina (Juvetic ) all those years ago. He always looks kinda promising and then fades away. Sevilla had an option for 15m (or around that price) but they didn't want to pay it for him. They tried lowering it, Inter said no and eventually sold him off to Monaco.

Bernardo is one of the best needle players in the world. I've never watched Lopes before, but is he of similar profile, or is a he a different kind of player?

Re: 2017/2018 version of Monaco
Yeah I agree with Rincon , why Jovetic is still rated is beyond me
Keita is very good but he is hothead, Jardin must be good to manage him.
Tielemans looks like the typical player that is developed from Monaco and then sold to big money in England
