Chelsea aren't just missing out on players, they're being outright SNUBBED. These are the champions. Unreal.

Arsenals Joel Campbell loaned out for the 60th time in his career - back at Betis.

Drinkwater at Chelsea for medical right now

Natalie Sawyer to ES's wank bank @DiFapzio

Bojan leaving Stoke for Alaves

Milan  have reserved the conditions to sign Pietro Pellegri in the January transfer window via DiMarzio

Can a serie A regular give me the lowdown on Zappacosta?

I gather he is an attack minded RWB who can cross and shoot but is suspect defensively, anything to add to that? Predictions on how he will do?

Adrien Silva didn't transfer after all.

I don't get why clubs wait till the last possible second to try and do everything and then end up failing to get who they wanted because time ran out.

Btw, Liverpool to start the window needed a DM and LB, didn't really upgrade either position. Barca's biggest need before and after Nerman left was to get a CM that would help them bring control to the team again and also didn't get one. I'd do Arsenal but I don't even know what to think of the window they had, like they needed a striker which they got, kept Alexis for 1 more season which they needed to do, needed a strong LB which they got, but maybe the biggest thing they needed going into the window was to toss Wenger and he signed on for 2 seasons....so I guess the window was a failure? Or maybe biggest thing they needed was a Santi replacement and that is the one guy they didn't get?

What other clubs failed to address it's biggest concern going into the window?

I think City had a decent window, even without Sanchez. Definitely, relative to the other two.

I think Conte still had a better window than Wenger tbh. The latter is a clueless, washed up manager with no ideas and no fire in his belly who has lost in dressing room. When players take paycuts to jump ship to save their careers, you needn't say more. That also indicates that no matter how many players are signed, it would not make a difference when the tactics and management are subpar to Sunday league soccer mom levels.

I am not alone in saying that we should have sold Sanchez and saved up the money for the next manager. Of course, that is assuming the money isn't siphoned off in dividends and 'consulting fees' for Kroenke's shell companies. We broke our transfer record signing Lacazette and ended the window with some +20m net spend - can't make that shit up. What's better is the last day rhetoric that we don't have money, when the club beat its drums about having a '200m warchest' at the beginning of the window rofl

2017-18 and 2018-19 are just to be written off. Hopefully, even on autopilot, the club manages to stay in the top half of the PL in these two years because most of the rest of the league is piss poor at best. Win enough games at home against mid/low table fodder, end up in 7-10 position.

It's probably a good thing too for Chelsea. Last I read, the lad is out till November anyway. What's the point of that transfer, when he's effectively only going to be match fit in Jan, if at all.

He is fine, good not great. Its really not a sort Chelsea marquee signing but will still contribute to your squad.

He is a solid right back with a good cross basically. I'm guessing he is brought to have a more "fullback" alternative to Moses? he should do that well enough. No worse than Alonso in Serie A, same level of quality. Where Alonso was more of a midfielder, Zappacosta is very much a fullback (more pace, more direct, worse passing, better cross).

His deliveries to the box gave Belotti a handful of assists (probably the most in the team), Morata should enjoy that.

Looks like Crystal Palaces is doomed, wtf signing, and with that amount of money... complete suicide. I know the market is crazy now, but really feels like a waste of money?

If thats true he will be very effective, since Alonso has been great for them.

Cheers, I am worrying about his defensive ability, having watched some videos of him, as long as Conte can improve that, I believe he'll be a fine deputy to Moses.

Sakho was great for them when on loan there. That's a fair price in the current CB market. Liverpool wanted 35m but caved on the final day. Sakho would actually be an improvement on Lovren in Pool's defense but his relationship with Klopp is rock bottom.

Didnt know Sahko is that highly rated.... lets see how he does with Palace this season...

So looks like Liverpool just rejected all bids Barca mde for Coutinho is that correct? Even up to around 130-150M? I really would think for that amount its worthwhile for them to sell him though?

Latest and final offer for Coutinho was around 160M and got rejected.

According to Gerard Romero someone could get fired because of the fact that Coutinho didnt come. Laughing

So we didnt reinforce the midfield at all. Fantastic.
