Senegal - SA to be replayed , ref suspended for life

Has this happened before ?
FIFA ban the ref for life and Senegal-SA is to be replayed ( Senegal lost 2-1 ) and are currently 2nd in their group with 5 points which Burkina Faso has 7 I think.

Ref screwed badly but might have been a real mistake. Thoughts ?

What the SA FA said makes sense. This was a Fifa match, with a Fifa appointed ref. SA can't suffer the consequences because Fifa appoint a crook. Imagine if they start replaying games because of bad decision. A season would never end

Who takes the decision ? The FIFA ? If so they have to make sure they take action against the team they have appointed.

Meh. I've seen worse mistakes in every game we've played this season.
Harsh decision from FIFA unless they've got som damning evidence. Else I'd just demote the referee and give him some practice to become better.

That's one hell of a precedent set by FIFA though. Not sure if it was worth it but I'm sure the Nation of Senegal would say otherwise.

Apparently Fifa have got proof he recieved a bribe and phone conversations he's had discussing helping South Africa win the game. From what I have read, he only had 2 bad decisions which happens to have been both the goals and he refused to acknowledge the linesman who told him it wasn't a penalty.
No doubt about it, Fifa should take charge of LaLiga. The only way the refs will clean up their acts

This is an ongoing thing in Africa unfortunately. Corruption is everywhere. Just look at Tunisia in the last AFCON or Algeria. It was a disgrace.
