Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 2
It's a good move, it'll make things more expensive and frantic, but it's still a good move.

La Liga would be doing that in 2029 when the rest of Europe moves on to something else. That year, the league would introduce goal line technology as well.

Good move by EPL. Hoping other league will follow the same.
Now they should implement VAR in the match. Its time football blend with technology to make it 'less' error prone.

VAR should be implemented in a way the ref doesn't need to jog off the pitch to take a look at his own decision. The extra referees could sit in an AC room and make that call imo

Careful with the VAR.
We have it in Serie A and they still take bad decisions. Embarrassing.

@nishankly that's how VAR already is. There is a room with refs watching and communicating with the ref via the headset. Last year it was "offline" in Serie a, used in a diagnostic way without changing the calls. This year it's fully used.

He was offside, it was a pretty ridiculous moment for VAR. Caused controversy in Italy. I think it's worth it in the end though, it has to go through a "test" period anyway before they get it all right.

It reduces many mistakes , that is enough. Especially it deletes those serious..
You don't think to find perfect justice on football. But you can limit the errors.
Var - wagon absolutely

It's not going to be perfect
It getting things right is a step in the right direction though, and it's worth a test anyway. Maybe we find that it's not worth it. I think football will head in the direction of VAR though.
I do think they have to be careful with the implementation, but so far they've handled it with care.

So far they've handled it with care? Two wrong penalty decisions against Juventus doesn't seem fair. And they were correctly judged at first. Maybe in the future it will be better, but so far it wasn't ok. No need to be perfect, but we are talking about some very easy decisions that were being wrongly taken. And don't tell me now about the good decisions. It's like you have 100 patients, you saved 98 and 2 of them died because of a puerile mistake. Don't talk to me about the ones you've saved. You have a duty, a responsibility. That's why somebody is paying with serious money and a lot of time and energy. VAR should improve the system that was before it, otherwise it's fkin pointless.

This is either a 0-0 or a 4-4 imo, Personally expecting at least 4 goals scored total.
