Has kind of gone under the radar Lex

Let's focus a spotlight on it

Chelsea just lost to Crystal Palace, a team who hasn't scored or won yet this year. Is Conte's Chelsea starting to unravel?

I'd rather focus on CB's sudden illness tbh, i'm quite worried about him.

He was praising Sissoko earlier and when that happens i question his state of mind.

Positionally, Mertesacker is arguably one of the best defenders of this generation.

As a reminder, Chelsea lost to City before the break.

Chelsea have lost the last two on the trot, are equal to Burnley on points after 8 games and are currently 9 points back from the leaders already

Wow, didn't know they were doing so bad? If Arsenal win today, Chelsea drop 5th

There was a stat on twitter i saw that no Chelsea manager survived past December after winning the PL title the previous season

It's way too early for this, if we win tomorrow we'll be level on points with Chelsea.

Will we be anywhere near them in may? Like *bleep* will we Laughing

They likely won't challenge for the title but I think most expected that anyway, they'll still finish top 4.

How so?

They won the title last season. Ran away with it. Won with a couple games to spare despite Spurs getting 86 points. Made a couple big signing in the off season while not really getting weaker. I think them winning the title or at the very least challenging is easily the standard Chelsea and Conte should be meeting. Unless they go far in the CL, just getting top 4 should be a disappointment

Everyone else was shit last year, plus they lost Matic and Costa. Two key players for them and didn't really replace them.

Plus as Firenze constantly likes to mention, they had no Europe last season.

Arsene subs him off at 60th minute because he HAS to bring on Giroud. I don't hate Giroud. I don’t even dislike him. I do like him. I like him a hell of a lot more than I like most people in the team. But he kills our counter attack game. Has the mobility of a retired Carragher.

And then Arsene brings on like for like replacement at the end instead of being pro-active.

We are an average team without Sanchez and Ozil. When they both leave, we'll be the next Everton.

Win the EPL one season, Arsenal-like expectations the next Laughing I don't care if everyone else were shit. Chelsea were transcendent. They won with games to spare against Spurs who collected enough points to win the title most years. Even if other teams were good, Chelsea would have won. Then they signed multiple players for fees that weren't small.

Why are we making excuses again?

I'm sure Chelsea fans are ecstatic with their start and will be delighted to hopefully eek into top 4 just like they always dreamt rofl

Meanwhile if Conte was being praised to hell for last season, which he should have been, he should be criticized for his start this season. It's early yet, but they've not been good at all so far.
