Van Gaal is crazy, the pressure will be sky high and not sure if there is a manager out there can handle the United.

The managerial merry-go-round these days strikes me as ludicrous.

Clubs have a hair-trigger impulse to get all these guys with "projects" and then sign them up for many years. But so often they fail, or they're judged to fail if they have a bad few months or one bad season. Or are simply underwhelming (e.g. AVB) even if they're not doing that awful.

Look at Brendan Rogers, who was in many ways pretty laughable when he first showed up at Liverpool. Not awful, but just out of his depth. But you know, he's the one laughing now. It just took some patience to overturn things. If you're not willing to have that patience, you shouldn't bring in managers charged with major projects. Big clubs shouldn't give long-term contracts to managers who've never worked at the very highest level, let alone never had success.

I'm not saying that Man Utd sacking Moyes is the wrong decision. Perhaps it could have waited until the summer; that's debatable. But it does seem crazy that they put all this faith in him with such a massive contract in the first place, and then weren't even willing to allow him a full season. Moyes on a 2-3 year contract and a "wait and see" approach on both sides would have been so much more sane.

Long-term, luctrative contracts for managers who haven't earned them in some way is just a fail on all sides.

Not sure it really matters what they do as far as a manager. As long as SAF is sitting upstairs as anything more that a spectator there will be a dark cloud over any manager that comes in.

Southampton leading Everton 2-0 thanks to own goals from Alceraz (in 53 seconds) and Coleman. Everton have been poor.

If Everton lose this and we win our next two games, we'll have 4th wrapped up before the final game of the season.

I was so excited Laughing

Only Tottenham could have spent so much and had such a bad season. COYS

Combine that with how Barca did this season, it's been rough on CBarca Sad

Tito puts it in perspective at least, though that on it's own is obviously the largest tragedy of them all.

It's the day of the season when it becomes mathematically impossible for Spurs to catch up with Arsenal in the league. This was the 19th consecutive one.

Laughing  that's hilarious

Don't take offense with this bit please because none is intended, but you lot seriously need to win that FA Cup trophy. 4th place trophy, St. Totteringham's day Laughing Next thing you know balance sheet trophies will be given out at the Emirates. I think you guys haven't tasted triumph in too long that insignificant things have been put on pedestals although this is pretty hilarious banter.

It's tradition. Don't take this the wrong way but having finished below Everton in recent years it may not resonate with you guys the same way but since Spurs always hilariously talk themselves up all season, it makes this day all the more hilarious to celebrate. Hilariously. Not that we view it as an actual achievement.

Yes, we do need that trophy btw.

Didn't expect a Liverpool fan to understand a local rivarly pisstake with their local "rivals" in Everton. Especially those who don't even live in Liverpool.

I don't care much about Tottenham, I don't even know a Tottenham fan in person, but I can understand why it's important for local fans to be the superior team in North London and gloat about ig. It's the same with Dortmund and Schalke fans, even worse Laughing

What kills me about this season is that we stayed at the top longer than anyone else, but we're gonna finish 4th.
