Morata is shocking

A draw is fair. Both teams missed too many chances to claim they should have won.

I agree..I think Arsenal were better for larger parts of the game but Chelsea had so many chances to score.

We'll beat City at the Emirates. Just need Koscielny and Ramsey fit.

l will say it again "finishing skills of Per Mertasaker". Could have redeemed himself at the end.

Would have been a shame had Arse lost. Entertaining game, though I cant help feel that Wenger is rightfully feeling hard done by referees lately.

I'm torn, I'd love to see City lose..but the title is already wrapped up and there are no City fans on GL really. At least with any consistency. Loserpool win and we won't hear the end of it for weeks.

That game is going to be either Liverpool smashing City or City tearing Liverpool to shreds, No other ways about it.

Back onto this game, Conte clearly needs additions, They have no one to trust in that team to turn up. They will lose pace for sure imo.

That's because Arsenal play no defense... it's fun though.

Why? Them losing changes nothing lol.

Only losses that mean anything would them *bleep* up against Basel or something.

They are winning the league so easily that none of it matters.

“I do not aim high with my requests, especially as in my history I’ve rarely been given the players I asked for. I always ended up at clubs who were running an austerity programme,” shrugged Conte, referring also to his departure from Juventus.

“I just try to do my work. If someone arrives, good, if they don’t, then that’s fine too. I have to continue my work, either way.”

Conte: “I do not aim high with my requests, especially as in my history I’ve rarely been given the players I asked for. I always ended up at clubs who were running an austerity programme,”

Damn, Conte thought he was done with poverty transfer policies after leaving Juve Laughing

Teams managed
2006–2007 Arezzo [Lega Pro]
2007–2009 Bari [Serie B]
2009–2010 Atalanta [Provincial Serie A club]
2010–2011 Siena [Serie C]
2011–2014 Juventus
2014–2016 Italy
2016– Chelsea

Doubt he was referring to those Lega Pro/Serie B/C teams he managed when he said he couldn't buy the players he wanted.

This doesn't take away from the fact that he was once again "out tactic" by Wenger once again. Played a defensive midfield of Bakayoko and Kante and still got dominated by Goatshere and Xhaka.

BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 7 Empty Re: BREXIT Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 7

Post by Luca Thu Jan 04, 2018 1:44 am

Don't let Conte fool you with this line of reasoning.

He was also the same guy who said that Juventus couldn't afford to compete in the CL, to paraphrase, couldn't afford to eat at the restaurant. Allegri took that team to the CL final in his first season.

And who was Conte denied at Juventus? He inherited a 7th place team that spent a boatload in its first season and even snagged a player like Vidal on the cheap before signing Pogba the next season.

Also, to call Juventus or Chelsea a "poverty" club is an injustice to clubs that literally are unable to sign a single player without selling an existing one. Neither fall into the category.

Conte also beat a Belgium team convincingly with Eder and Pelle up front. Nice when it works, also a nice cop out when it doesn't go to plan
