So this would make the 3rd manager to be KO'd by Madrid. Nice. Was hoping it was Lucho but he'll be the 4th one next season.

Why won't LE take the job now? Is he afraid? We're only in October, he would have pretty much an entire season to himself

Because they are not 100% confident about this group of players, i mean if Heynckes flops it doesn't matter as they won't have to fire him.

And it gives them 8 months to find someone better than Enrique.

He is 72 years old, so, barely. However, if the reports are true at all, he's only taking over for the season. From summer on, Ottmar Hitzfeld will then take us into the future.

Wow, according to Bild it's between Trapattoni and Klinsmann after Hitzfeld's season(s) and Mario Basler is definitely being signed next season as Robben's long term replacement.

That would actually mean that my 1997/98 FC Bayern Mario Basler jersey would be current again

His Bayern team was the only bit of fresh air we had in like 7 years of despicable spanish teams domination.

I hope crosswords & mint candy did not affect his football IQ.

BTW

Heynckes has since confirmed that Bayern have asked him about returning and that they've had talks and he's considering, but nothing's decided.

Why do they keep turning to Juppy all the time. Isn't this like the 4th time?

I suppose once they keep squandering leads the management will finally realise that the fault isn't with the coach but the players

It's the 4th time but it's over a period of three decades so it's not really "all the time"
