Re: The Movie House - Part 10
Nothing has come out or if it has nobody has seen it (Isle of Dogs, You Were Never Really Here). The only exception is Annihilation, which I still haven't seen

I’ve seen You Were Never Really Here. Isle of Dogs was shown at work today, but had to work and I don’t have an interest in Wes Anderson’s movies at this point

True.
Mind I gave Infinity War a 5 out of 5, so it will be hard to beat.

I really liked. Great art house action movie. It's really intense. Kind of like a John Wick/Taken but with way more stylistic flare and art house sentimentality. It's not as actionpacked as those. It's much more a character study really. But it's really brutal. Phoenix uses a hammer as weapon of choice. We call it John Whack at work because of that weapon.
Phoenix is great, but Johnny Greenwoods music is incredible. Lynne Ramsey really cut it up, but damn it's effective.
You should watch it.

There’s been plenty this year I think.
Love, Simon was very decent fluff.
Loved Tully also.
Still looking for masterpieces though.

Haven't gotten a chance to watch those yet.
Will try to after exams.
How soon do non-Netflix movies and shows take to make it onto Netflix?

Season 1 of a show usually is in there when season 2 premieres on the main channel.
Netflix is dependent on who has rights. But usually four months to a year

Can’t wait to watch Jurassic World myself. Trailer spoiled too much though. Looks genuinely good.

Not sure if sarcasm...
Each new trailer makes the film looks shitter than the previous ones.

It wasn't sarcasm. I really think it looks good. Goldblum will be back (very limited apparently), and that always worth the price of admission.
I think the original is highly overrated anyways. Can't stand when people say those dinosaurs looked better than they do now.

Of course. Top 5 director out there imo. Takes too long between films. But if they stay this level I won't complain. Had three absolute great works of art so far.
12 Years a Slave is such an incredible emotional journey. Same with Hunger and Shame. Shame is probably the hardest watch of any film I can remember.
