Messi obviously is the exception to a lot of rules at Barcelona.

Something has to happen to that ref, I know the Spanish FA is a joke, but if he gets away with decisions like that, than refs in Spain will continue to be hopeless... ffs, cost us 2 points.

What's the point of Coutinho on the right? Let's play Messi on the left while we're at it.

Messi *bleep* up the whole team structure tbh.
Get it over with. Can't carry someone who just walks, doesn't defend, doesn't move off the ball to make himself available for passes, won't play on the right where he should play for the good of the team and only scores from freekicks these days.

Messi contribution to the game so far.
Take freekicks from the left and shoot into the wall.
Play a pass to no one ending as a throw-in.
Lots of walking.

I feel sorry for Simeone. Messi rapes his team every time on free kicks.

Watching an American stream:
"Messi inside the telephone box"
"Messi bringing more firecrackers than the 4th of July"
"That's equivalent to a Steve Nash's 3 pointer"
"Things heating up after the Messi Free Kick, Good."
"Man of the match is Iniesta" (at 28 mins)
"Coutinho turns away and says see you later alligator"
"Defensively being as sound as the English pound, Not"

Who the fvck is Andre Gomes? This imbecile can't even make the most simple passes out there.
I don't understand why he came on instead of Dembele...

Agreed. You can't get worse than Sky Sports. Ballbag and Huntard. Who the *bleep* are these muppets.
Re: La Liga Discussion 2017/18 part 3
Pretty good game until Gomes came on for Iniesta and we lost control of the ball....but Atleti was kept at a safe distance from start to finish and wasn't threatening at all.
I'm glad we put those bums in their place... However, we should have scored more than one.

Re: La Liga Discussion 2017/18 part 3
I think we've been lucky this season... Atletico for some reason werent that up for it, I dont know whether its been some of their personnel changes compared with the last few seasons or what, but they were clearly no where near as good as. Maybe its also gotta do with our improved defending overall, like Umtiti in their obviously, Rakitic playing much better defensively this season in his role next to Busquets, and Coutinho also doing well to help out. But Atletico were very poor going forward.... they have been on fire, but they started so cautiously and slow, not until Messi's goal that they started playing it felt.
Anyway, I never thought we would win it, so really happy with that, and so now its 8 points. Long way to go, but we have a bit of cushion now so we wont stress too much hopefully when playing in the CL too. And hope its not serious with Iniesta, we need him. Gomes is incredibly shit. See Iniesta holding his head watching the clown LOL. And Paulinho coming at the end to help sure things up doesnt actually... he has improved or adapted better to the team it looks like since the first game he played for us, which is worrying.

Re: La Liga Discussion 2017/18 part 3
Griezmann has been on fire in the last few games, but he looked really underwhelming against Barca. He fluffed his chances, looked sloppy in possession, it just wasn't his day. Atletico's long balls to the forwards were the most frustrating thing to watch, though They might have worked 8 years ago, but Barca's got decent aerial ability these days, and the majority of those lobbed passes were highly inaccurate anyway.

I loved how Camp Nou were booing Homes whenever he got the ball. Even his team mates and coach were visibly frustrated by him
Re: La Liga Discussion 2017/18 part 3
I have a bad feeling Dembélé is going to turn out the black Deulofeu. If Vidal, Paulinho and Gomes play ahead of you there is something wrong. Valverde hasn't proven to be that clueless.

Re: La Liga Discussion 2017/18 part 3
Dembele lacks confidence and often looks afraid to go into challenges which is frustrating at times but still, he was the obvious choice over Andre 'Donkey' Gomes who is nothing more than a laughing stock for the viewers.
All in all, I think the only reason Dembele isn't a regular yet is because he has yet to grow himself a bigger set of balls... but that requires more playing time and then we're stuck in a loop of absurd.
Also, Valverde is a coward and he very well knows we'll never be a 4-4-2 team. Tbh, our wins are rarely convincing this season
