From after WM33 (what I can think off the top of my head):
RAW Elimination Chamber
Asuka-Charlotte (WM34)
Lesnar - Styles (Survivor Series)
Shield - New Day (Survivor Series)
Matt Hardy - Bray Wyatt (Ultimate Deletion - Raw)
Shield (Angle for Roman though) - Miztourage, Kane and Strowman (TLC)
Ambrose and Rollins vs The Bar (SummerSlam)
Samoa Joe - Lesnar - Reigns - Strowman (SummerSlam)
Lesnar - Samoa Joe (Great Balls of Fire)

TLC match brotha, his influence didn't stink up the match. It was sports entertainment at it's finest.

Nah it's right
TLC match with Angle's return, it was attitude era like random shit but it was fun.
Balor vs Styles was that night too, it was the PPV when everyone went down with an illness and Styles and Angle were put on the show at the last minute.

Also can't believe I forgot Rousey and Angle versus HHH and Stephanie.
That match was also really fun. Ronda is going to be an absolute star, if she doesn't embarrass herself against Nia.

If you can watch previous RAW's i remember the 2 hour long gauntlet match being great.
Don't watch it all though Just watch the Seth vs Roman and Seth vs Cena matches.
It was the start of the ridiculous momentum Rollins is on atm where he's the best thing every week atm.
He's finally at the point everyone thought he would be when they turned him face, he's absolutely white hot right now.

6 man NA title ladder match - Takeover NOLA
Gargano vs Ciampa - Takeover NOLA

Black vs Cole - Takeover Philly
War Games - Takeover War Games
Gargano vs Almas - Takeover Brooklyn
DIY vs AOP ladder match - Takeover Chicago
Tyler Bate vs Pete Dunne - Takeover Chicago

On main roster, New Day vs Usos was the best rivalry of 2017. Check out their Hell In A Cell, street fight and Summerslam match.

Didn't mention NXT because I didn't think he'd want to bother.
But as usual the best matches are there.

I think 2016 was one of the best years in WWE recently, so many amazing matches from Survivor Series to Shane/Taker, AJ-Roman, Cena-Roman feud, Rollins return, KO and Haitch segment, Nakamura debut, MITB Ladder match, Jericho's era, Sami Zayn lighting it up.
It was incredible
What were the best matches over the past year that i should watch?

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Found this interesting....
That might explain why they moved so much talent there and still kept the bigger stars and didn't move AJ, Bryan, New Day, Charlotte etc etc.
On WOR Meltzer got asked on whether SmackDown will still continue to be the B show after moving to FOX. He said that it pretty much can't be the B show anymore because in terms of WWE long term finances, the SmackDown rating will be the most important number for them.
For RAW on USA ratings won't really matter because USA needs WWE more than WWE needs them. Without any hit shows on their network USA is basically clinging to RAW in order to stay competitive as a network.
FOX on the other hand won't be so dependent on SmackDown and they very well might cancel the show or move it to a smaller network like FS1 if they feel like it's not worth their investment. They are paying a lot of money for this and the pressure is big on WWE to deliver consistently good ratings.

Just watched some highlights of RAW. What an awful show.
Literally everything is trash, aside from Rollins's IC reign.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Based on how they book they RAW atm , random 6 man tags every week no one cares about, no storytelling whatsoever, treating their fanbase like complete idiots etc etc.
I'd bet a lot of money they'd make the guys in those videos look terrible too tbh.

I actually thought Okada-Omega was too long. I liked WK11 more. But good to see he finally won. He had to. If Okada won there'd be nothing left for him.
I do wonder what's happening with the whole Bullet Club now. If Omega and the Young Bucks leave, BC will be dead.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
As someone who usually fast forwards until the end of the match because he finds a lot of them boring nowadays, Omega-Okada had my attention from start to finish. For instance, last year at Dominion, I was kind of bored of their match so when I read there was no time limit I thought the same would happen. But it never did. They left me on the edge of my seat.
IMO:
Omega-Okada 4 (Dominion 2018)
Omega-Okada 1 (WK 12)
Omega-Okada 3 (G1 2017)
Omega-Okada 2 (Dominion 2017)
I feel like what the first had going for it was the athleticism. There was a lot of 'holy shit' moments. It was so good because it was so different.
But the 4th had everything. Athleticism, storytelling (from their last 3 matches), pacing, drama, etc.
My top 5 GOAT matches:
Okada-Omega (Dominion 2018)
Okada-Omega (WK12)
Okada-Tanahashi (WK10)
Nakamura-Ibushi (WK9)
Okada-Omega (G1 2017)
Honestly when it's all said and done Okada will probably go down as The GOAT.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
I thought WK11 was better as it had the 3 holy shit moments (Omega moonsault over barricade, Omega through table, Omega snap dragon off the top), and then transitioned into a bunch of false finishers and counters to the end. Each counter was different than the last.
Whereas both Dominion matches, because they went so long they ran out of spots and repeated the same spot again and again. It got so obvious I could telegraph the dropkick, or V-trigger, or rainmaker before they hit it.

That tag team match was *bleep* phenomenonal.
