Leon Bailey Watch

Post by Hapless_Hans on Sat Jan 20, 2018 3:26 pm

Since joining Leverkusen from Belgian club Genk one year ago, the 20 year old winger has steadily established himself first in Bayer's starting 11 and now among the brightest attacking talents in Europe.

He seems to be improving at a rapid pace, by all accounts another great performance today vs Hoffenheim, including a nice backheel goal.

As a Jamaican, it seems like he'll move to England at some point, and Leverkusen will have their hands full defending him against agressive suitors in summer at the latest

He's very good isn't he?

The next player to move for silly money.

I can imagine City and Utd will stay away as they already have young wingers in their team.

Can see Chelsea going crazy and get him, especially if Hazard moves on. Liverpool too if they have the money.

Everyone's raving about him, I haven't seen enough to do the same tbh.

What I've seen from him is that he's an hugely talented, explosive, skillful winger who still looks a bit too raw and inconsistent to me to be considered a top player, i.e. starter for a top club, yet.

But judging from his improvement over the last year, he might not take long to get there.

Unless either
1. Mourinho plans to permanently move to a 3 man midfield or
2. Lingard proves what he is showing right now is not some fake form

I can see us going for a Bailey, Pulisic type player in the near future. We do lack a proper winger anyway.

Bump.

City and Pep looking at him. Need him for depth and to give Sane/Sterling competition. Also buddies with Sterling.

Bundesliga followers, how does he compare to Sane at Schalke?
