*Puts on Roma-tinted glasses*

Alisson has an arguably worse defense in front of him though and he's single-handedly kept us in countless matches.

Woj had a better defense in front of him last season and an even better defense in front of him this season.

Still think it's Alisson.

Because Buffon was better. Let Alisson have more than 4 good months before proclaiming him the best at anything.

Juve stadium was empty because of a ban on the stands in the curva.

Buffon was the best keeper last season, Sczsesny was 2nd.

This season Sczsesny is the best keeper because he maintained the same level as before. Alisson would be the most "in form" GK, or 2nd best if you prefer. Buffon simply wasn't a factor so far and i'd like to remind how shit our defense was back in autumn.

Alisson made my Team of the Half-Season as those are mostly based on hype, but i wouldn't bet on him to feature in the official TOTS.

It's the same anti Juve thing as always from an Inter fan. Last season Szczesny was not at Juve so of course he had to be the best. This season he is with us so it has to be Alisson being the best.

In the meantime we just keep winning.

Are we at nursery school ?

If I was so childlike I should have said Handanovic was the best player, but I said a Roma player.

Moreover :

@rincon wrote:I'll throw some names for my opinion on nominations and stuff so far.

Best
GK: Alisson
Defender: Chiellini
Midfielder: Luis Alberto
Forward: Immobile

Best transfer: Skriniar
Worst transfer: Calhanoglu

Team of the season so far:

Alisson; Kolarov, Chiellini, Skriniar, Florenzi; Insigne, Sergej, Luis Alberto, Verdi; Icardi, Immobile

Its a bit heavy in Lazio because imo they are carried only by 4 players (the three in that team + Strakosha), they pull a lot of weight compared to Juve, Napoli, Inter and Roma where everyone is good.

You same rated Alisson as best GK some post ago LOL

, so what is the matter ?
Hackered account ?
No but I said Alison  because I am Interista lmao

Pls avoid this thing , still I remember when I said Higuain- Belotti is no contest (pro Higuain of course) and you said it is similar level. Just because Belotti is Italian (as me, yet I don't care)

Calma.

Just like Warrior said, it's a team of the half season. It's just form.

Florenzi and Kolarov are there too, are they better full backs than Hysaj and Sandro? No. Neither is Luis Alberto better than a host of mids or Immobile better than Higuain or Dzeko. Skriniar etc etc.

Being in form for 4 months doesn't mean are now the best GK, mid, defender, etc. than those who do it for seasons and on.

But like I said, you have your opinion, so carry on.

What should we talk ? About the present. Or is there a clear  time where you can rate a player ? A year? 18 months ?
Otherwise I could say that Sczesny was a Premier League discard just a year ago.
Anyway I am not really surprised about Alisson performance tbf, I already noticed his talent  in Europa League last year and he was impressive. I think McLewis can confirm it.
Infact I didn't expect weakness in that role tbf

He was rock solid in the EL. Took a lot of Romanisti by surprise a bit, myself included. Some were even backing him over Woj last season.

Can count on one hand how many mistakes he has made in a Roma shirt. He's been amazing.

For me, around 6 months is reasonable when it comes to judge a player in particular... or change my idea about him. ~6 months is long enough to see patterns in the style of play and not only judging by streaks of form/misform.

That's why you never see me bragging about MDS yet, and that's why i've given up on Khedira some months ago. And that's also why i still consider Immobile as a bidone.

I also used to see Sczscz as Premier League discard and i was unsure when we signed him, but time proved me wrong. I have no shame to admit that Marotta outsmarts me when it comes to Juve.

As for Sczsesny, he maintains last season's form, the same form that made of Alisson a benchwarmer in the league. Buffon injured in the meantime. So i don't see why, all of a sudden, Alisson would surpass him and become the "best GK" in Serie A. If Sczesny starts allowing easy goals while Alisson remains solid until the end of the season, then i'll change my mind. As for now he is In-Form yet unproven on a long term basis.

Opinions , nothing more. For me it is okay
I hope just not read that my opinion is influenced from " he plays /doesn't play with Juve " because I am almost 30

Quagliarella with a penalty versus Roma just now, he's having his best ever season

Insane that today is Sampdoria vs. Roma and on Sunday its Roma vs. Sampdoria [today's game being rescheduled]

I feel like Roma is selling themselves out of the CL places if they sell Dzeko, robes and Inter fans must be so happy

At the same time, Milan must be ecstatic for Sampdoria because if they lock down 6th, it means they won't bother with EL next season

Its January and the season is just starting, fratelli Proud

Roma's season is taking a real beating.

They were missing Perotti a lot, add El Shaarawy now too and they just can't attack. Under and Defrel are scrubs.
