Do you tnink it was the right thing to postpone the whole matchday guys ?

It was really shocking news , Astori was a good and popular defender. died of natural causes , him , a footballer, controlled every day by  medical staff. It seems so unreal

Yes, I believe it's a nice gesture and symbolic of the fact that life is bigger than the sport we love but the sport we love intersects in a beautiful way with life. Seeing everyone unanimously celebrate Astori yesterday and post condolences was a very touching sentiment.

I even read that Bonucci & Ranocchia talked about not playing the derby even if the matches were not postponed and I think that's pretty great

Honestly, no.

Any fans who had to book time off and travel etc will be majorly pissed and I doubt Astori would have wanted thousands of people pissed off on his death day.

Fiorentina game, fine. The rest nah.

Fans will most likely be recompensated in some way. It was the right thing to do. Players would be too emotionally shakened by this death to play.

Fiorentina are honouring a four year contract that Davide Astori was about to sign before he died and are giving the money to his family.

I assume it hasn't been posted anyway.

The whole Inter team will travel to Florence on Thursday in order to attend Davide Astori’s funeral at 8 AM,the team will also be training there for the rest of the day.

Fair play to robes and the lads

-Fiorentina and Cagliari both retiring #13
-I believe the wages as reported above will indeed be paid to Astori's family

Balotelli on Dani Alves:

Dani Alves caused controversy with his comments in a Press conference yesterday when asked about Astori, noting he didn’t know the defender and “thousands of children die every day without this much attention being paid to them. Their deaths are just as important.”

This did not sit well with Balotelli, who vented his frustration in an Instagram live stream with Damiano Er Faina.

“What he said wasn’t wrong, but he could’ve kept it to himself at that moment,” said Balotelli.

“He should’ve just passed on his condolences and that’s it, not talk rubbish. You cannot make those comments when faced with someone’s death.

“He said things that had **** all to do with anything. Astori, by the way, was a good guy, polite, and I can say that because I played with him for the Nazionale.

“Unfortunately, I can’t go to the funeral on Thursday because I have a training session, otherwise I would’ve got in the car and attended.

“It’s something that happened despite the many checks we players are subjected to once a month. It’s scary to think about this, because he was in bed and seemed fine. It’s too easy to find yourself going up into the sky.”

Alves being a *bleep*, shocker

I've seen the Alves thing and its just media cherry picking quotes. Out of context it sounds bad but he was actually saying some good stuff. Here's the interview.

It's really not beautifully said by alves. As hard as it is to agree with Balotelli, he is right. Alves didn't say anything incorrect but he should have just kept it to himself. Not the time or the context for that.

@Luca the wages thing was fake.

Alves said bs, his vision of life & death is stupid

Maybe it's me who isn't religious enough but i found it disrespectful to say a father of young kids, a husband and a captain of sports team has "completed his task in this world" at 31 year old. Not to mention the SJW rant at the end. A brief condolence whould have been sufficient.

Gattuso interrupts Bonaventura as he was answering a reporter’s question on how fascinating playing in the PL would be and says: "Leave him alone, he feels good here. Now there is Raiola who has already started moving about”

Excellent understanding between Higuain and Dybala, a lot of positive play between them.

One of the best games from De Sciglio, agreed.

He is great.

Everyone was pretty solid today. Nice to see minutes from Marchisio and Rugani. Sturaro even put in a shift (relative to who he is). For me, the Napoli away game will always stand out as De Sciglio's best but he was certainly very good again today.

Higuain and Dybala (14 + 17 goals), reminds me of Del Piero and Trezeguet Proud
