I mean if they win against Crystal Palace tomorrow which you expect them to they'll be above you so....????

Sounds like Pool is closer to a 4th placed team to me?

CBarca wrote:Didn't say Conte is provinciale, I said his attitude, as quoted on the previous page, is. The idea of refusing to attack because you're scared of being beat 3-0 or 4-0 is disgusting and doesn't belong at a team like Chelsea. Harrowing message to send to the players too.

Conte isn't provinciale (thus far) but his attitude today certainly was today. Mourinho IMO has upgraded to full provinciale. The display against a Montella coached Sevilla wasn't even a classic Mourinho defensive display while trying to nick a goal on the counter, it looked like a team with their tail tucked between their legs going to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and riding their luck and good goalkeeping to a fortuitous draw.

His performances against Liverpool, other teams in the EPL are similar.

I agree that Mourinho has always been defensive, but he's never been like this. He's become a very scared manager and it shows in his teams performances.

Fair enough, thanks for clarifying. I do agree, that attitude is small time. I suppose I'm used to it and I believe it's also a bit of a language thing for what Conte is trying to express. For me, it's quite common that when you go away to a top team you don't play an 'open' game- which is a very Italian way to describe it but I can see how he expressed it relating to Arsenal and how it can be perceived by others

As for Mourinho, I can't disagree, his best days are seemingly long gone

Lukaku has the same assists in the league more or less, not bad for a lad with the touch of a donkey rofl and they've been legit assists too. Again, not me arguing Lukaku is legit, he's bang average like Firmehno. Deal with it.

That's not saying much since he was incredibly average before this season. Let's wait for him to hit 20 goals in the league for the first time ever before you start proclaiming him second to only Kane at striker in the PL.

"firmino's overall game is so good!" etc etc

let me know when Firmino makes this pass. Honest to god, Kane isn't just a better striker, he's a better passer, he's got better hold up play, he's better in the air, he's better with both feet. He's better at pretty much everything

Right! Firmino now having a decent to good season and I'm being generous with the good part and he is now 2nd best striker in the league while Aguero has both a higher goal tally and whoscored rating. Massive disrespect.
