Bayern in search for a new manager
Jupp Heynckes, who despite Hoeness' urging him to do another season will definitively only stay until summer to retire for good, had his say on the matter in a recent interview with SportBild
Julian Nagelsmann? "A huge coaching talent. But only 30 years old, he surely still has to learn."
Ralph Hasenhüttl?`"Has the class to manage a big club. I like his work very much. He has to internalize how it is to be working for a big club, however"
Niko Kovac? "Has the advantage of having played for Bayern and knowing the club. It will be beneficial for him, for now, to gather experience by coaching Frankfurt in an European competition next season"
Klopp? "He's changed a lot at Liverpool, introduced a clear profile and structure and is on the road to success with Liverpool"
Thomas Tuchel? "I think Thomas has the quality to be the manager of Bayern München. He's climbed the ladder continually from youth teams at Mainz, you learn a lot this way.
BVB, then, played really terrific football under him, with a good system. All modern elements, that today's football requires, were there. Tuchel was league runner-up, won the cup, played attractive football. I really liked watching his BVB play. I appreciate him and think he is a very good coach."
Heynckes added in another interview:
"Tuchel is innovative, ambitious and obsessed. I like him a lot. Who knows, maybe he will be Bayern coach one day..."

Way too fast, I do see a tree in the background that might be Khedira though

Re: Bayern in search for a new manager
Not really about the manager, much more about the players. Like with Real Madrid, too many top performers are in their 30's.
When's the last time Bayern made a statement signing outside of Bundesliga (or Juventus)? You can get lucky with a Lewandowski only so often.

Of course Tuchel gets the most elaborate mention. Hans love affair with the man is odd. Justice for Hasenhüttl.
Honestly I hope for Tuchel to be appointed so we can slowly see Hans' unravel while he flops in real time.

Hard to flop with Bayern unless you're a certified league flop like Carlo imo.
He'll win them a bunch of BL titles, get them far in CL but wont win it and everything would look nice and rosy in Munich again.

Re: Bayern in search for a new manager
I don’t know if he is available, but if the rumours of Griezmann to Barca are true he might be. Simeone is a great coach possibly looking for a new challange. But if I were him I’d rather go to the Prem to prove myself.

Re: Bayern in search for a new manager
It will be a German (speaking) manager next, that's public record. No Simeone, no Allegri or Luis Enriqe.
Plot twist:
Jupp: "I never said that I'm leaving on 30th June"

I'm not going to lie, I'm getting really excited and giddy the more it looks it might actually be Tuchel.
This is all coming together perfectly, when he took over BVB we couldn't have dreamed that he would become available like that.
Now, not only do we not have to steal him from Dortmund, but they actually pushed him away, and maybe even are pushing his prodigy Pulisic right after him
The question always is, whom to get after Pep. Tuchel is Pep 2.0

So, a complete failure, basically? Like Pep.

Re: Bayern in search for a new manager
So whats so special about Niko ? @Hans
A quick google search told me that they're 5th place in BL. His team dont exactly score a lot of goals but they do concede a lot. Doesnt particularly have a great big game record.
What are his striking features ?

His striking features are obvious for anyone to see: he looks like a bond villain.
