well, most of our player had been with us for long time. of cause the wage bill is large after went through many cycle of extension.

i swear marcelo weekly wage was lower than my yearly salary when he was first signed with us.

The key point is you can keep your best players by paying big money. A club like Liverpool can't.

well, another key point is u must be a club that atleast able to pay your player.

liverpool is not poor, maybe not madrid rich, not far off either, but it's not a miracle or coincidentally madrid have all that money, 1 of that reason including being the best of europe.

next u gonna do a success versus cost graph? to be honest, it gonna be a rising graph, but still it will have a team on top of line, and a team on bottom of it.

Not far off ?

Madrid have a way higher operating income than Liverpool. There's a 250M gap between Madrid and Pool. They have been the richest club for more than a decade only to be pipped by United last year. Even during Madrid's trophy barren years, their income was the highest. Kinda like United now ironically. Liverpool is more Juventus level financially.

Not a single player on Pool's team would come close to the earnings of Ramos, Bale or Cristiano or even Benzema. So its easier to pay your players and keep your 'core' that is responsible in winning so many CL's over the years when your operating income is consistently that high. Add to their appeal, its becomes doubly easier.

Thats not to discredit Madrid's good work in the transfer market for the past couple of years but tbh i find the whole point of net spend redundant in the grand scheme of things. When you consistently sell your best players like Pool do, chances are that your net spend is going to be on the higher side.

aint nobody fault u club still cant win shit with that giant spending. but certainly your own fault for being undesirable to any star,  80m pound to lure some vanvandeck rofl rofl

finally looks relevant for tiny bit in decades and suddenly the clown ass fan come talk heritage and measure bout other club success.

this is the type of fan i smell if they ever gonna win something, they gonna brag about it 'history' for em damn 58 year later on.
I’m thinking is this guy a Spaniard from Madrid or is he another glory hunting turd from Eastern Europe that picks Madrid as his team because he thinks it gives him some kind of superiority. hmm

Let’s face it anyone that’s ever watched a game of football know full well that Madrid one way or another has always cherry picked the best players in the world from other teams. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing and I’m not saying I wouldn’t like Liverpool to do it but anyone that’s try’s to act like that doesn’t happen is just trying to piss down your back and tell you it’s raining.

They were all accomplished players to some degree when you purchased them. Torres was quite clearly a 'star' signing. Salah was already one of the best forwards in Italy but happened to get  mainstream spotlight and attention once he started doing the same in England and credit to him since he's been unbelievable. As for Firmino, Bayern, Juventus, Atletico were all onto Firmino as well but they passed on him because of the high price-tag. Dont act like you unearthed some gem here.

Now the ones you've bought that hadnt accomplished much that you turned them into stars were Coutinho and Sterling i guess. Cant remember anybody else right now.

City gets knocked out by a dynamic attacking team for the second season in a row.

They still weren't ready to win CL, and the last week has shown that. They're still a young team that lack the mental toughness and experience to win in Europe, especially playing Pep's way. They've had a good season but it could have been so much more.

Liverpool were deserving winners and it'll be interesting to see how they do in latter rounds.

liverpool are like a stunt rider on a motorbike. its all flat out with big jumps but a crash is coming any time. Laughing but all jokes aside im not sure how we made it this far but its been fun to watch. i dont expect us to make it through the next round and i dont give us a chance in hell of winning it. i give a bit of credit to the back 4 that have been much better of late but you dont win the champions lge with a MF and keeper like we have. Very Happy

You're doing fantastic brother @clutch, also remember that Mane was bought for over 40M, hardly peanuts smoking

Not sure how you can spend nearly 140M on Keita and Virgil have the audacity to take about other team's spending

God forbid Real Madrid uses their status as one of the biggest footballing institutions to have a great team
