Shame. I wanted him at Arsenal.

Hope he fails.

It seems PSG just approached Tuchel before Bayern. Arsenal may have also wanted him. So what we have now is a series of appointments due to which sheer curiosity makes us eagerly anticipate the start of next season.

Bayern Munich - Niko Kovac

Paris Saint Germain - Thomas Tuchel

Arsenal - Luis Enrique

That's the bottom line, but only half true - Bayern did obviously approach Tuchel before (last fall), but quite apparently without committing at any point.
Here's what happened AFAIK it

PSG usually offe two years contract to their coaches so I don't think there was any firing

So it seems not many ppl rate Tuchel and this looks like will turn out to another not-good-enough manager at PSG?

Gotta say though its good to see PSG owners willing to give the younger managers a chance and take risks rather than hiring old timers who play it safe. They still do it more for the longer term in view still after quite a few years project now.

Just gonna enjoy and see what unfolds next season.

Fair point, but I still don't understand to this day why they hired Emery. He did well with Valencia and Sevilla, but if I were the owner of one of the richest clubs in the world, if not the richest, and my main objective is to win the CL, Emery wouldn't be at the top of my list.

More like they had to settle with Emery in the end after being rejected by a host of top coaches.

Unless you lose Salah and Firmino in the summer, in which case you would be battling Bristol City for the Carling Cup next year.

What an amazing opportunity for this guy to stat pad Ligue 1s to his name and make him relevant for future employment prospects.
