Mexico are playing well but they're insanely wasteful. If they could finish they'd be up 3 or 4-0.

Looks like a classic case of a small team playing well in the first half and then the big team comes back in the second half.

Mexico finds open space so easily behind Kimmich.

Mexicans need more composure in front of goal. On couple of occasions they could shoot from short distance but they opt for an extra touch instead...

Muller fraud his way to a decent career just because of his off the ball movement. That's gone now. He is as useful as a pet rock.

But somehow Low had gomez, Werner and Muller on the pitch at the same time for a long period of time Laughing

Then you have the entire midfield consisting of Kroos who has had 30 pace all his life and Khedira who has lost all his limbs over the years.

Brandt came on and nearly change the game. But he was on for 3 mins Laughing

Terrible tactics. But Low will improve on this hopefully.

We will get a Brazil-Germany in the next round assuming Mexico doesn't choke against Sweden and Korea.

Germany having no legit striker will cost them this time.

Play Sane out wide, and Gomez up top, that's their best chance.

VIVA MEXICO!

Let's give it up to our boys in green, they didn't just win, they OBLITERATED them. If their finishing boots were on this could have been 6-0.

No.
He would've been on the bench and he would've replaced Brandt for that 4 minute cameo.

It's exactly why this discussion was a farce from the beginning.

I've seen him shred much better fullbacks than Gallardo/Salcido. Thats for sure.

He should have at least been on the bench. You dont leave mercurial talents at home

Still expect them to go through tbh. They dint play all that bad , just that i dont think they expected Mexico could come out play so fiercely like they did today.

Damn, imagine if they finish 2nd tho. Brazil-Germany potentially in Round of 16. Yikes

The thing is Zigra... if you had Sane, maybe you think about that option after the loss to Mexico.  There's a player with a different profile that allows you to adjust if things aren't working.

But because Low has 100 midfielders and quasi no options at the forward positions, Germany can only hope that Mueller, Werner or Draxler suddenly find scoring form.  Werner is the only hope in fact imo.  Mueller has been shit the last 2 years and Draxler wasn't much of a factor at PSG.

I think Reus should start over Mueller. I honestly would have started Sane on the left. Sane-Werner-Reus is a super fast front 3 that open space for the midfield. As it stands, the CBs push up because they feel they can recover against everyone but Werner.

Bad team decision by Low.

If they play like they did today, even if it wasnt as bad, Brazil will crush them.

Willian-Neymar-Jesus wont screw up as many as chances as Mexico did.
