Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
One of the best 20 minutes I have seen on television.
The Michael and Jim scene at the office and then Michael and Pam scene at the airport. You could almost tell they were saying goodbye to the actor Steve Carrell as well as the character Michael Scott.
It's a huge struggle to get into season 8 but i need to finish the journey.

and a show I just watched the first ep of on the site for free and then promptly went to dl the rest
Wayne
Wayne, a 16 year-old Dirty Harry with a heart of gold, sets out on a small two stroke road bike from Boston to Florida with his new friend Del to get back the shit-hot 79' Trans-Am that was stolen from his father before he died. An action comedy, it's John Wick via John Hughes.
From the writers of Deadpool comes the story of 16 year old Wayne. He's a second generation, socially awkward, bully of bullies, with a heart of gold. He decides to take an unplanned road trip to Florida with his new friend Del, to get back his father's Trans Am, that his mother stole when she left them. With limited resources and nothing but the name of the city he thinks the car is in, he and Del face hilarious and heartfelt situations on their travels together down the Eastern seaboard.
cant attest to the overall quality but the first episode was elite
I've watched both Impulse and Cobra Kai and they are both well worth the watch

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
So it looks like Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing Satan on Amazon's adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Good Omens.
He joins stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen, who feature alongside Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Mireille Enos.
That's a strong cast. Haven't read the book and know nothing about this at all, but on the casting alone, I'm in.

Impulse is fine, Origin however is abysmal. The violence in Wayne really turned me off.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
So I finished all of The Office.
Last 2 seasons were a chore to watch but the last 4-5 episodes of season 9 were fantastic. I loved the Finale. Those last 15 minutes where they are sitting in the office for one last time
I'm glad I watched this.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
Wow.
So there's a comic book adaptation on ScyFy, Deadly Class, which I randomly tried despite of its ostensibly stupid name.
And it's really, really good.
I don't how it is for you millenials, who haven't even a faint childhood sense of the 80s.
But for me, dark, bitter 80s retro like Donnie Darko, or Watchmen too which is my favorite comic book adaptation, really resonate. This one does too.

I think Dwight Schrute may be one of my favorite TV characters of all time. I have to catch up on The Office US soon. I stopped watching it about a decade ago. Think I was on season 5 or so.

Same here. Under that quirky skin he was the man with heart of gold.

Yup. Deadly Class is much better than I thought it would be. I like how well they've incorporated and animated some of the (what I assume to be since I haven't read it) original comic book scenes into the show as well. It flows really well.

From experience, virtually everything Ricky does is gold so I'll definitely check out Afterlife.

Won't really call it a comedy. Ricky Gervais makes you laugh as he usually does but it's about the message he sends than trying to make people laugh.

I'm ashamed to have slept on Better Call Saul for 4 years. It's as good as Breaking Bad. Vince Gilligan take a bow, sir.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
just finished stranger things so Better Call Saul sounds like a good show to move onto. I don't remember where I finished tho, i think i've seen only the first 2 seasons.
Also rate the show, it's great television.
