Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
Finished season 2 of Lost. Amazing ending ffs
Wish the seasons were 5 episodes shorter though.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
What exactly makes Stranger Things overrated?
I didn't really understand the hype until I watched the show. Both seasons that have so far been released have been excellent. It's easy to fill them with filler, but there's not much of that in this show.
Now I haven't watched Dark yet so I can't compare the 2. I'll get around to that one in due time. It's a Netflix original so it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

A must watch if you liked Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals.
I've been following the development of this show since it was announced. One of my most anticipated shows this year.

Looks great. The thing I liked most about Vice Principals was Walton Goggins but I'll still check out the Righteous Gemstones.

stranger things is very enjoyable but I wouldn't say great
just finished rewatching season 1, now finally on to s2
RG rewatching lost almost makes me want to go and rewatch the whole thing myself. If only they had landed the ending

I can't imagine how it would end.
I always heard that it ended with 'they were dead the whole time' and that surely can't be true at this point.

lmaoo, that's one interpretation, wait for it. But nah ultimately that's a whacky interpretation

Hasn’t Lindelof said that wasn’t the right interpretation?

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
^^ He probably did because it's pure trash lmao
I think I wrote down my thoughts on here somewhere when I watched it back in 2012/2013, but I can't even remember what it was and I can't be bothered to find it. All I remember is they tried to give a very spiritual ending suddenly with that finale lol.
I also think, similar to Dexter, that the finale itself wasn't that horrible, it's just the lead up and last couple of seasons that were disappointing and left both shows scrambling to come up with a profound ending to the shows

alright enough with the ending talks. Giving too much away.
Season 3 is definitely the best i think so far. Although I miss season 1's survival and mysteries.

Shame you weren't watching Lost back when it aired (probably too young I guess since) remember literally everyone watching it and talking about it at school, kids, teachers, parents etc
quality ride from start to finish, the show that got me into big american shows
I gotta rewatch it someday since I've forgotten most of those early seasons, remember being convinced (as were friends) that Locke was a pedo in season 1 ffs
Team Sawyer since day 1 btw

In 2004 i had no idea what TV shows were ffs.

It wasn't.
It was huge but not as popular GOT was this decade.

I think it was. It felt like it was, anyway.
Although, with GOT, people stuck with it all the way until the end. Lost's popularity kinda fell off a cliff after a few seasons. So yeah, maybe not.

On Season 4 now. Feels like this is headed very much like Prison break did after season 2...
Still great though.
I really can't see how they can carry this for another 2-3 seasons.

S4 is when it started going more downhill, it was also when the sci-fi aspects started becoming more pronounced (which some people hated)

Season 5 now
I really didn't predict some of the events which took place...
but it's also clear how they had no idea what to do and how to progress it.
Still love it though.

Season got increasingly good when the main cast appeared again after the first half of jobbers ruining the series.
That ending of season 5 ffs Last 4-5 eps were incredible
