I think Elliot sanctioned the hiring of Leonardo.  I heard this morning on the Football Show that they (Elliot)  were thinking of hiring an MLS guy for the job, but I guess they came to their senses.

All eyes will be on CR7 and Serie A on the opening day and they chose to have the opening match in the ugliest stadium in Italy ffs.

Ronaldo's 1st match vs Chievo Proud the archetypal italian club according to every memes

Their strategy vs CR7 is to bore the shit out of him so his talent falls asleep, sometimes they succeed especially at home. Btw last i read about Chievo they were on the merge of being relegated to Serie B for financial fraud ?

Can't wait for grandpa Cristiano to score loads of goals, so all dem serie a fanboys who claimed "Messi/Cristiano wouldn't score that many goals in Serie A because La Liga isn't as tactical" are put in their place.

This argument completely shatter last season when Immobidone scored 29 goals.

Even without Higuain our attack is stacked and CR7 will be the focal point, 20 goals is the minimum expected. A double-double for Dybala and a lot of assists for Douglas.

If Immobile can score 29 goals CR7 could hit 50 really...

Impressed by Asamoah tbh @Luca

Probably the best African player after Salah.

Is that right that Asamoah played in midfield? Proud

He had a good season with us. Would have wanted to keep him.

I'm glad for him. He was fantastic before injuries really stopped his progress.

He's coming off a great season, he benched Alex Sandro numerous times because he was just better, especially defensively

Kownacki maybe?
I read before that Arsenal were regularly scouting him before Samp signed him

Any other young players to potentially have breakout season?

Lautaro Martinez
Justin Kluivert
Lorenzo/Luca Pellegrini
Patrik Schick [this is his NO EXCUSES season]
Mattia Caldara
Matteo Politano
Rolando Mandragora
Alex Meret
Nicolo Barella

Some players to keep an eye on this season off the top of my head that have made a jump either to a new team or with a larger role

This is by no means meant to be a comprehensive or definitive list, I'll probably think more of it closer to the season starting
