Someone will have take over duty of matchday threads if any, Singapore is +8h from GMT that makes early kick offs in England, 9pm for me. So i'll be missing most of the season upto February, there will also probably be a major drop in my GL activity during this time but I will keep trying to make time.

We could just use this thread for all matches i guess.

I thought you were in France? Your absence will be missed, we are a dwindling bunch at the moment. I will try to manage the match-day thread (or whatever) best I can.

Nish, this is the first time in so many years that people actually expect from Liverpool to fight for/win trophies, and you're gonna *bleep* miss it?!

In 13/14 and 17/18 no one expected from us to come so close to winning PL/CL, bu this year after an unreal mercato people expect Liverpool to fight for trophies, I haven't been this hyped ever as a Liverpool supporter. You gotta watch this season bruh, it might be a really good one.

I know ffs don't make it hurt more than it should.
I just hope we have enough early kickoffs or majority 1500 GMT kickoffs on Saturdays.

The transfers have been done & dusted (except some outgoings perhaps), the pre-season friendlies have been completed; now is the time for the real stuff.

Considering their extended holidays, I would wager none of Lovren, Trent, Henderson and Firmino will start or even play any significant role against The Hammers. Recent injury also rules out Milner and Erm, Matip.

The probable starting XI might looks something like:

Lallana and Shaqiri could be surprise inclusions.

Probable bench: Karius, Moreno, Klavan, Grujic, Lallana, Shaqiri and Firmino

What do you guys think, should we make this thread in the GS and talk there only? I can rarely be bothered to check this section, because activity is so low that it feels like talking to walls. But if those who remain here want to keep talking Liverpool in its own section, that's fine by me, too. Just asking.

Are you suggesting separate threads for each games??? That would turn the already cluttered GS into complete mess. However, we may open a thread (Liverpool 2018/19 Watch) that would collate all match-day and season related (injuries etc.) posts.

BTW, Art, would you start writing match related posts again? I remember you used to write wonderful match previews.

I don't know what my "forum motivation" will be for this season. Also, I will be checking the groove in this.is.anfield. The truth is that writing about games becomes less enjoyable when it's only a few people taking notice about those posts.

Also, I don't know where you got the idea of creating game threads in the GS. All I meant is taking Liverpool discussion into the GS in one thread.

Man i use this section to stay clear of the general discussion people, there's so much nonsense there that it's not really enjoyable to talk about LFC with people who check livescore and watch highlights and base everything off that.

He was injured during the WC, played through the injury, went on holiday with the injury, didnt inform the club because he was scared they'd sign a replacement, is now back and unavailable and the injury is serious.

Matip and Gomez are already out. Klavan im not sure.
