Manchester City are still confident of signing Jorginho despite strong interest from Chelsea.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed he agreed a deal for Jorginho with Man City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak over two weeks ago but, according to Sky in Italy, Chelsea have since come in with a bigger offer, in terms of both the transfer fee and wages.

We understand that the player told Man City two months ago that he wanted to join them and move to Manchester - and sources close to the club believe that remains the case.

Forget Fulham's stature as a club and their lack of success, they're in one of the most affluent parts of London (right next door to us - in fact, Chelsea is located IN Fulham). Check online for the average income of West Londoners of today. They may have PL money to spend but they also have a city like London to offer.

Sarri's fee is part of it. We paid 7m more than City but offered an extra 8m in add-ons on top of that. Sarri was the main target. Jorginho is just a pleasant bonus to bring with Sarri. ADL is a stubborn bastard and has already held us hostage too long to the point where Conte started handling pre-season. Thankfully, that's over now.

He works hard and will pull something out of nowhere sometimes.

But 80% of the time it's a lot of dribble, get checked and then goes backwards or passes out without doing anything.

Never really thought about it like that.

Handy alliances to have. Plenty of great players who don't quite make it at one top club or fancy a change of scenery could always succeed for one of the others.

It's better than cock blocking yourself from future deals by refusing to deal with other big European clubs.

According to Globo which is the most reliable source in Brazil, Madrid have sent their representatives to Santos to talk to Nerman.
