kroos, marcelo, and ramos. the three reasons why we lost today. i'm actually shocked teams haven't taken advantage of these three more often. particularly marcelo who looks like he's losing pace

I don't want to say with it that Liga in an easy league, but the axiommatic discussions on leagues are overrated and often garbage, there are many factors that influence performances and they can't be locked up in a league

Immobile, Serie A's joint scorer with Icardi last season, scored 2 goals in his La Liga stint. Serie ZzzzzZ

2 goals in 8 games .. he scored 3 goals in 24 league games in Bundesliga, so what do we say to that?

There isn't much of a difference between our football and United.

Banega makes it 2-0 with a pen.

Sevilla's fans celebrated so much the barrier in front of them collapsed and half of them fell onto the pitch. Luckily it wasn't a big fall.

You gotta give it to them, they know how to stand behind their team and support them relentlessly throughout the entire game.

Against Madrid, they were louder than hell. I know their team didn't need their help to batter Madrid, but their cheers certainly helped them keep up the momentum and completely control the game.

They could certainly work on toning down the insults a little bit, but frankly which crowd doesn't?

What a boring average game.

Quality in La Liga is sinking rapidly. No wonder when all the top coaches assemble in England, while the Spanish top clubs hire nobodies and nothing coaches like Valverde and Lolpetegui

PL will overtake La Liga very soon.

When Messi retires, there will be no outstanding player left in this league.

Just runs around head down all game long, bernabeau is applauding but have the nerve to benzema who can't get a decent chance created for him, just overall nonsense what the point of a cf, if everybody but him shoot? Smfh if benzema stays past January he is a moron and deserves what he gets as an idiot meat shield scapegoat, what a joke...

I like the idea behind this troll. There's potential. But we need English clubs to stop losing every game they play in Europe. Until then the potential won't be fulfilled.

After 7 games,
Barca 14 pts
Madrid 14 pts
Sevilla 13 pts
Atletico 12 pts
Alaves 11 pts

Not sure about the quality declining but it actually has shown so far that neither Barca nor Madrid can just walk with the league. Unlike, let's say, Jjuve who already have a 6 point lead and won 7 in a row.

That being said, Ramos is a terrible defender, Benzema is back to his shitty best and Ceballos and Mariano should be starting more. Oh and I'm struggling to know what Asensio really does.

Asensio does everything at a great level until he has to make a final decision. Just give me an hour with him, and I'll fix it, like it did with Bale once.

Everything has a beginning and an end. La Liga has been the best league in the world for a very long time, but it'll eventually collapse. It is inevitable.

You make a very valid point btw. While Barcelona continues to spend heavily on players to stay at the top, Madrid has changed its policy entirely. This will affect not only Madrid, but the league as a whole because Madrid used to bring the very best to Spain.

We're still elite, but that's only because we're living off the remaining players of our golden generation. And we're not replacing those who left with equally talented footballers to stay at the top. Instead, we're betting our entire life savings on guys like Asensio, who though talented, is not in any way or world beater, and I have my reasons to believe he never will. Not to mention that we seem to be content with Benzema. That's worrisome and inexplicable and shows that we're not ambitious enough in our quest to winning major trophies.

They are very good, but more than them being good, it seemed like they simply wanted to win that game a lot more than we did. I highly doubt you'll see them play with that kind of intensity twice a week, against other teams. They ran their asses off, and their fans jeered on Ramos and Ceballos, so enthusiastically, you'd think it was a cage fight. That's not an every day occurrence.
