Scenes in the Leeds/Villa game.

Villa had a man down injured and Leeds went to play it out. Villa stopped, but then Leeds just carried and scored.

Villa are mad, so Bielsa tells his team to let Villa score, which they do.

Bare in mind, this is approaching the 80th minute, and Leeds need to win to keep their automatic hopes alive.

Frustrating to be a fan of this man. The ref didn't blow the whistle and Leeds were within their rights to play on... the player was not seriously injured either. Can't say I agree with the decision, the ref should be the one to decide whether play is suspended or not, not some sense of moral outrage.

Says it all about John Terry that he would, among all the things he could do, start a fight with Bielsa after this Laughing

Yeah, not sure how many coaches would do this, especially if they know they will lose out on automatic promotion as a result

hope we get another terry-bielsa showdown in the knockouts, both have been pretty juicy

It was terrible sportsmanship from Leeds.

Even Leeds players had stopped playing.

There is something called sportsmanship in game.

Otherwise players who does diving , kicking players if ref doesn't see it, using hand etc are also technically not wrong.

Another thing to note was that Villa had a man wrongly sent off earlier in the aftermath because of Bamford's playacting. It may be the ref's discretion but among players it's generally expected that if one team puts it out, the other should do the same. Or at least, not pretend you're going to put it out but then carry on playing.

This was the problem. You are not obliged to put the ball away, but if you pretend to do so and then create a clear cut opportunity to score, that is deceiving and morally wrong. Loco's decision was spot on here.

Another incident like this just occurred in the Plymouth/Scunthorpe game in League One. Both teams needed to win to stay up. Plymouth were 2-1 up, until their keeper got injured and tried to roll the ball out himself. Scunthorpe's striker stopped it then lobbed the keeper in a desperately scummy move. Scunthorpe didn't let Plymouth score, either.

Unfortunately for them, Southend beat Sunderland to escape relegation and send both Plymouth and Scunthorpe down to League 2. Southend were saved in the 86th minute by a guy in a mask.

Looks like the Championship play-offs will be:

Leeds vs Derby
West Brom vs Aston Villa

Bielsa vs Lampard and a Midlands derby. Should be good ties.

Hopefully Leeds come up. Bielsa will be amazing in PL. It's been too long in the PL without Leeds. Plus having another United rival wouldn't hurt.

Derby will lose their two best players this summer in Wilson and Mount. If they come up they'll definitely pull a Huddersfield.

Penalty for Derby overturned by the linesman

don't think it was a pen, but neither a foul the other way as the lineman claimed
