I switched on just as the situation occurred. It wasn't very easy to tell exactly what had happened. Pretty awful debut for him, either way.

It wasn't a red card. CL needs VAR, for sure.

Pulled a guy's hair when he was on the ground. It's a red lol. You can't pull a guy's hair.

Just saw the replay. Dnt think that warrants a red.

Nobody knows what he did. Maybe he tugged the guys hair, maybe he spat in his face, maybe he called his mother a whore. Only the guy behind the goal knows. We will find out somehow after the game/tomorrow.

Can you imagine if pulling someone's hair becomes a regular move because it's not red card worthy? Laughing

It's not as bad as biting a dude...  but it's just weird too lol. Why would you do that?

He has no business grabbing an opponent players hair. Appropriate decision.

It's not like he did what he did mistakenly in a duel, Ronaldo clearly meant to do that and you can see his regret a second later. Still it needs to be punished, so I applaud the referee for doing his job right even if most referees would ignore that because it was Ronaldo.

He made it too easy for the ref and deserved to be sent off under the rules. It was fair, but IMO soft, but thems the rules.

How is there ever a rules-legal version of grabbing someone's head, even if you're not pulling their hair?
Straight red IMHO, the "joga bonito" way of biting, hairpulling, scratching, and mother-insulting has to be stopped.

He patted the guy's head, if this stands there will be red cards given left and right from now on, that happens all the time.
