I know, Insigne is like 5'4, surely there are bigger fish in the league cup. Lorenzo can't even reach the food on the top shelf in his home

Terrible performance, Napoli was good and deserved that fully. This group is now tighter than an arsenal shirt.

Arnold needs to ride the bench asap and let my main man Clyne step up

Yup. Very interesting group now. Think you'll go through but wouldn't be shocked to see either of the big three eliminated.

clyne is useless going forward so klopp won’t play him much.

Liverpool and PSG probably gonna get 6 points vs Red Star, Napoli handicapped themselves there, those two are still favorites.

Not really surprising, Napoli is one of most difficult stadiums in Europe. They never lose at home.

Clyne is not that great going forward he is ok but he's consistent and will always put in a 7/10 performance. And he is obviously really good and reliable in defence.

Arnold has been bad this season both going forward, constantly overhitting crosses. And in defence he constantly gets caught out of position. He doesn't play like last season at all.

Not to mention it's unfair to Clyne because he was one of our most consistent players and he lost his place because of an injury. Now that he came back from injury and Arnold is playing poor and he still gets no chance is unfair. Clyne only got 1 chance in the cup last week and he had a great game, but since then nothing.

Only just turned October and already Ive given up hope for the season. I still can’t get my head round the club disrespecting a competition we had a very good chance of winning to concentrate on 2 competitions we have no chance of winning. I know other Liverpool fans will say I’m always doom and gloom but when the club has let me down for as long as it has you can understand why. Man City up next I’m not looking forward to that ass whopping

Serie A fans, is Koulibaly also a good passer of the ball? He seemed good at it, and how highly do you rate him? hmm

when we played them in preseason we absolutely ruined him. Shame we can’t repeat it in the real games

Top defender, very strong player. I'm not sure if passing ability is the first thing I relate to when I think of him, but he's a very good defender, top 5 in Serie A

Koulibaly is great. He carries Napoli's defense. Competent passer for a CB, not his best thing like Bonucci, but definitely not poor. He played for years under Sarri after all.

He is good passer, not as Bonucci or Skriniar :coffee: , but he is not bad on it.
For the rest, top defender, top 5 in Serie A easily, not by chance Chelsea offered big money for him last year, but Napoli refused it.

He was an error prone defender then after working with Sarri he became one of the best defenders in Serie A. Amazing improvement.

that masterstroke from Ancelotti  Klopp needs to learn something.
Napoli totally deserved it.
I posted during matchday 3 of EPL that Klopp needs to develop different possibilities to create chances and in general as a team setup. And that is what we paid for, one dimensional and predictable play from our front three. He needs to use Sturridge and Shaqiri more to confuse the opponents.

Good that we have got this beating today, it will help us long term. Now all we can do is hope that Klopp improves and starts using our midfield and other players more than right now.

If PSG fail to win today, which I think it is impossible but you never know with Ancelotti, the group will be so damn exciting till the end then.

For me at least Napoli is a better team than PSG, not because of individual quality but because they are more balanced, they have quality players all over the pitch. PSG has the talent up front but leaves too many holes in midfield and defence, at least what I saw from them, we'll see if they can improve on that. Last season Napoli was fighting for Serie A and lost it in the end, for me they have an even better team this season because this season they actually have depth and rotation options, last season they were too thin. They invested really smartly this summer, I think they can at least be competitive in every competition this season. If they can pass the group, I can see them going far with a good draw. I think either Dortmund or Napoli will be a surprise this season in the CL, with Dortmund winning the Bundes as well. Very Happy

But PSG is playing at home, so they have the advantage surely, but I won't be surprised at all if Napoli takes something from this match.
